Inner Motivation - A New Beginning
We'll start off with finding your inner motivation. Focus on the desire that drives you to eat clean, lift big, never miss your cardio, and live the life that shows your passion for change. Ask yourself why you're fighting so hard for this body. Once you know what motivates you - whether it's standing out from the crowd, achieving a life goal, or pleasing a special lady for life - you've got to grab onto it and use it to push yourself through every lift, every run, and every meal. Take the time to really explore what your personal desire for change is, and then you can move to the next step.

Role Model
Visualize your ideal physique: what you truly want to look like. Find the physique you're after - whether it's your favorite athlete, actor, or just a friend - and use it to push yourself. Anyone with your ideal physique can motivate you to work harder and lift heavier. After all, your role model had the discipline, the drive, and the motivation to get results, and so can you. Choose a role model that not only has a ripped physique but also has a work ethic to back it up. If you know how driven they are day-in and day-out, it will motivate you to do the same.
If you don't have a role model already, log on to BodySpace - create a profile, find a role model or inspirational member, add them as a friend to learn how they got to where they are now.

Positive Surroundings
Make sure you surround yourself with people who support your goals. People who say you can't change are often jealous, or have failed on their own quest. Be above the negative influences, and block out distractions that can keep you from training. Those around you have a huge influence on the results you see, so don't take this lightly. Spend time around positive people, and you'll make positive progress.
Also, consider joining a BodyGroup. BodyGroups are online support networks based on shared backgrounds, lifestyles, and goals.
Each and every BodyGroup is dedicated to hitting a specific fitness target, and members of each group share inspiration, answers to training and nutrition questions, and motivation to lift bigger, look better, and live healthier every day.
Search through the Groups, and find the one that matches your goal.

Utilizing A Workout Partner
If you ever need instant motivation and accountability, find a workout partner. This will help you push harder and show up to each session ready to train like mad. Make sure the workout partner you choose is as intense and focused as you are, or you may find yourself detouring.

The Right Music
Don't forget the impact of your favorite music. By listening to music that gets you pumped, you'll boost your motivation and intensity. Load up your iPod with some heavy tunes, and get to work. Wear your headphones even if you don't have music on. This will tell gym chatters you mean business, and prevent them from trying to strike up conversation between sets.

Workout Log
Be sure you're also using your BodySpace account to track your workouts! Write down everything - the amount of iron you lifted, reps you cranked out, sets you destroyed, and so on. Get as specific as possible. This helps you look back over time and adjust your workouts as necessary. Always aim to surpass last week's numbers.
If something doesn't change, you must change it. Add a new exercise, try a new technique, or try some new set and rep ranges. If your workouts become easy and comfortable, you're asking to hit a plateau. A plateau is when you stop getting results because your body has adapted. Try and change up your entire workout every 6-8 weeks. Make minor switches, and keep sculpting your masterpiece. There's no better feeling than knowing you gave it your all each and every day.

Setting Goals
Set small, attainable goals that will lead to big results. Make deadlines for achievement no matter what the goal is - big or little. If you set pre-determined dates for your goals, you'll be more accountable for reaching them. This can be a goal weight you want to reach by the end of the month, or just a new shirt size you want to wear. Surround yourself with constant reminders of why you're doing this and what you're after.
Tack a calendar to the fridge with your goal-weight and step-by-step successes, take progress pictures and put them up on BodySpace, write a BodyBlog, and share with the public and friends what you're doing and what you'll achieve.
Not only will this keep you more accountable to your goals, but it will showcase your discipline, drive, and will to succeed. The losers might react, but as a winner, you will act.
