What an Olympia weekend to say the least! Where do we even begin? Ok, ladies first...

I must say, after a great finish last year, Yaxeni did not come into the show bringing her best. Last years runner up Iris Kyle took the title this year with Dayana Cadeau right on her tail. This win gives Iris her second Ms. Olympia title. Bonnie Priest moved up two spots from last year landing her a spot in the top 5 at number 4. Last years number four, Jitka Harazimova, moved to number 9 this year as she didn't hit her conditioning like she would have liked compared to the other competitors.
Ah yes, the lovely ladies... Who doesn't like to see the best-conditioned female athletes on stage to prove who's the best of the best? I sure do. Jenny Lynn came into the Figure Olympia in amazing condition. Overall, she was the winner and she proved it. Head to toe she was amazing. Nothing against the other competitors, but she peaked at the right time and the conditioning was there for sure. Amber Littlejohn and Monica Brant, both with amazing physiques on stage, placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
As for the Fitness Olympia, Adela Garcia came out and surprised everyone. Adela brought her best and beat out favorite Jen Hendershott who took third place. Kim Klein sneaked into second place. All competitors had fantastic routines with amazing outfits. We had everything from cheerleaders, to Batman, to animals, to servicemen, dirtbikes, and everything in between.
Well this years Mr. Olympia was full of exciting upsets as well as some competitors who didn't come in as well last year showing up in incredible condition. For one, Victor came into the O looking his best. I am actually surprised that he didn't edge out Ronnie for second place. Markus Ruhl who rounded out at number 8 came in looking big and shredded. A much better look for him this year. Dexter put on some nice size this year and still came in well conditioned as usual. Dennis James who finally hit his mark and dieted down looked massive but couldn't quite edge out Ruhl. James finished in 9th. People were ruling Gustavo out but he came in with a great physique that landed him in the 6th position. But the night belonged to Jay Cutler. The hair stays! Jay brought something to the Olympia that no one has EVER seen from him. A great overall condition along with a massive back that he brought up in the off-season with an additional ten pounds of mass. Ronnie supposedly came into the contest with a possibly torn lat. Ronnie came out in a Moses costume for the night show.
Jay speaking to the crowd after his victor: "This is a day no one thought they'd see. I broke the trend, you know. They said the champ can't be taken out. Well you know what? The new champ's in town. And the Sandow is staying in Las Vegas. And I get to keep my hair." Will you be back? "Of course. I just want to thank number one, all the fans. Joe Weider and Ben to give me the opportunity to do all this. There's a lot of talk about competitive organizations. The IFBB is the place. This is where you win Mr. Olympia." The future of Ronnie is up in the air at this point. He said he will be back training harder but with the injuries he suffered and with his age no one is really sure what he will look like if he comes back. He really has nothing left to prove. Jay has finally got his physique to a point where he can compete with Ronnie and win. This will surely factor in to whether or not Ronnie has the drive to push harder. Jay's back has come a long way and especially after Ronnie's lat tear, who knows if he will ever get that back. I have a feeling we might be looking at a Jay and Victor showdown in the near future.

Jay Cutler has finally won, and sees that his hard work paid off. There is no way that he is going to sit back and take it easy knowing that Ronnie will be back and with Victor looking the way he is these days, he will give anyone a run for their money. If all three hit it hard in the off-season, we are in store for an incredible Olympia 2007.
The expo was another success this year. Tons of vendors and tons of smokin hot women and ripped gentlemen. We had everything from guys in suits to women with no tops on.

They came home with a boatload of free supplements as well as credit card bills full of great deals on supplements from the expo.

"Just made this 5 minutes ago. I hope everyone likes it.
Congrats to Jay for being the better bodybuilder that night."
"I love Ron and Jay, but let's face it. Ronnie says others smoke crack and always acts like he's the bomb at the press conference and the seminar. Jay called Ron the best bodybuilder of all time at this year's conference. He didn't disrespect Ron, he just didn't mention him. Ronnie never congratulates Jay for being second for so long and pushing him hard. Ron is an 8 time champ, and Jay beat him. That is something to be proud of. When you beat a guy with a record, you don't just beat him, you beat what he stands for - I don't know where I heard that but it is truer than life."
"Jay Cutler definitely deserved to win, his conditioning was fantastic and his back looked tremendous. Finally all the years of coming up short, he has finally accomplished the greatest prize in bodybuilding."
"I'm a huge Ronnie fan, and I was one of the guys that would respond "Ronnie will always win until he retires" in every Olympia thread. I'll gladly eat my words here. Ronnie's symmetry was way way off this year and Jay made the right improvements. Personally, I also had Victor ahead of Ronnie, but I do believe Jay was the best man this time around."
"It was over after the first night. Coleman knew that Cutler had him, that's why he pulled that ridiculous posing routine. His back lat and his tricep were a major issue that he could not overcome against Jay Cutler who was in his best shape ever!"
"I'm stunned as many others must be as well, but bottom line Jay beat Ronnie and beat him convincingly. The final score (22-38) was not close, and I think the judges were right on. Jay looked very close in terms of sheer size, but he was much sharper, especially in the quads. I give all the credit in the world to a tremendous champion in Ronnie Coleman, who went down swinging; and to the new king, Jay Cutler, who could've given up like so many before him, but kept fighting, kept improving, and finally reached the top. As effed up a sport as bodybuilding is, both guys exemplify what athletics and champions are all about."
"Probably in a dark cold basement somewhere with nothing more than a toilet, a sink, a bed in the corner, a years supply of food, a squat rack, couple barbells, and a picture on the wall of Jay holding up the Sandow."
"I honestly would not be surprised if you're right about that. Ronnie will train VERY seriously this next year so I really think Jay should stay very focused on training this next year and not just relax on being Mr. O. I'm sure Jay will train hard knowing that Ronnie now has that motivation that Jay had for the past few years coming in 2nd place."
"Its unlikely he will be back in 2007, and if he is then it would be a sad mistake and he would end up like Samir Bannout did. You people need to get a clue. His lat is clearly injured to the point the he lost his back supremacy and ability to perform a full and eye dropping lat spread. His tricep also doesn't look quite right either. To have the lat completely repaired by surgery will hinder his ability to train his back fully for many years if not his whole life. If he does not get surgery he will simply look just as bad as he did this year because it will not get better on its own. Jay is young and has a lot of good years left in him. His back is getting better every year and this year beat big Ron. Jays back at his age is much larger then Coleman's was at the same age. If it wasn't for injuries, then I would definitely agree Coleman could come back and win but I think the lat tear is to much for him to work around especially at his age."
