The time is upon us once again: The women have been training hard and are ready for the first big show of the year... the Arnold Classic Ms. International, Fitness, & Figure Championships. The line-up this year is stellar and will surely not disappoint. Who might take top honors for the women this year? Let's find out!
For most guys (myself included) that care mostly about the male competitors, many are unaware that the female competition has lots to offer. The figure and fitness competitions are the most popular among men, mainly for the "drool" factor, but the female bodybuilders, at the Ms. International level, do deserve recognition for their hard work.

Ms. International
Who do you think will win the 2007 Ms. International? Why?
What do you think the top 10 will look like? Why do you put them in this order?

FIRST PLACE - Iris Kyle
Iris has proved herself in dozens of competitions. She is at the highest caliber of female bodybuilding, and no other woman quite matches up to her superior muscularity and physique. She is always shredded, thanks to her conditioning. Iris has a tall frame that she just layers the muscle on, which dwarfs the rest of the competitors. Guaranteed victory.

SECOND PLACE - Dayana Cadeau
After placing second at Olympia for two years, Dayana is a powerhouse in female bodybuilding. Even though she plans on showing at 135 lbs, she is a mass monster in female bodybuilding. If Dayana can build up her calves and come in great conditioning, she could probably take this competition. But, if she remains at the physique she has previously competitively shown, she'll likely only place second.

THIRD PLACE - Yaxeni Oriquen
Yaxeni epitomizes the female bodybuilding physique. At shows, she comes in incredibly shredded; she has some of the best abs out there, and has superb symmetry. Yaxeni has a large 5'8" frame that gives the illusion that she isn't as muscular as other competitors. Although she's a force at nearly 170 lbs, adding more muscle could potentially increase her chances to place higher.

FOURTH PLACE - Lisa Auckland
Lisa has phenomenal legs. At every competition her conditioning shows some of the most cut legs seen around. She also has, in my opinion, the best calves of any female bodybuilder I have ever seen. Being one of the shorter competitors has its advantages, as her 150 lbs of shredded muscle makes her shine brighter than some of the other females. If Lisa could bring her upper body to par with her legs, she could potentially dominate the sport in her division.

FIFTH PLACE - Betty Pariso
Even though she is of the oldest competitors, Betty is a serious challenge for other females. She is a massive 160 pounder and has great abs and vascularity. If Betty can build up her chest a tad more, mainly in her upper chest, she could be much better than fifth place.

SIXTH PLACE - Annie Rivieccio
Annie has legs for days. She has huge lats that could provide shade in the summer, but her conditioning could improve a lot more. Unless she improves her cut to show more of her muscle fibers and increase her vascularity, she won't place much higher than sixth.

SEVENTH PLACE - Antoinette Thompson
Antoinette is a small 130 pounder, but rest assured very little of that is not muscle. Last year she had placed 9th at the Ms. International, and I think she just might beat her placing. Her record shows she has been placing better and better with more competitions she enters, so she will likely be rewarded with improvement at this contest.

EIGTH PLACE - Cathy LeFrancois
Cathy is sure to place in the top ten. She has a huge upper body and great abs. I think if she brought her legs to balance with her larger upper body and improved her conditioning and vascularity, she would place higher.

NINTH PLACE - Debi Laszewski
This woman has incredible muscularity in her legs, mainly her hams and glutes. This is her first Ms. International competition, but she already seems to always be a fan favorite. But I think to really boost her placing in competitions in the future she should work on improving her calves and middle back. Her conditioning is at a superior level, but I think getting gains in those areas will really help her stand above the rest.

TENTH PLACE - Rosemary Jennings
Rosemary is a poster-child for muscular symmetry. She has massive lats that makes it looks as though she's wearing a cape, her abs are great, but she struggles with her chest and her waist size. If she can gain more muscle on her chest, upper and inner, and maintain a low waist size, she could do a lot better than 10th. It is important she keeps her level of conditioning though, as it's easy to see that it's working great for her.

MS. FITNESS & Ms. Figure
Who will win the Ms. Fitness & Ms. Figure Competition? Why?
What do you think the top 3 will be for the Fitness & Figure Competitors? Why did you put them in this order?

MS. FITNESS

FIRST PLACE - Tracey Greenwood
Tracey has a great fitness physique, her body is well rounded and proportionate, and has the long waist and legs that are so common among winners. She has the muscle tone that just screams fitness and athleticism. Not only that, but she is very pleasing to look at. She also has a history of flawless performances of very entertaining routines. She will surely dominate the competition.

SECOND PLACE - Oksana Grishina
Long legs and a long waist are typical in the best fitness physiques. Oksana has these and more, including great muscle tone in her upper body and legs. This will be her first time competing at the International, and she is sure to have a welcoming debut. Her previous routines have been a little on the safe-side, but I expect a more advanced, impressive routine at this competition. If she can build more athletic tone to her elegant body, she could take 1st in future shows.

THIRD PLACE - Jen Hendershott
Jen has a fantastic physique. On a very petite frame, she has the elegance of a fitness model, with the athletic build important to the fitness involved. One thing she lacks, no fault of her own, is the length in her body. This actually gives her more of a fit look than other competitors, which places her higher. She is truly a fan favorite too. Her very entertaining routines are sure to please and keep her ahead of some of the others.

MS. FIGURE

FIRST PLACE - Sonia Adcock
Sonia has a real petite body at 5'2" and 108 lbs. On her small frame though, she has a very athletic physique, but is extremely elegant. This woman's physique and presence is at the top of female figure. She has a very soft and elegant skin tone on a very healthy looking body.
She is very beautiful and has that model factor that judges will take notice and likely will put her ahead of the rest. She will carry herself well and accept the title with great poise.

SECOND PLACE - Jennifer Gates
She has place fairly high in all her competitions, and not by accident. All the men seem to know her name, which definitely make her a fan favorite. She maintains a tight, long waist and has long and gorgeous legs.
Her physique is quite fit, well toned and she has great arms and shoulders. Jennifer has the beauty and body of a figure model, and it will definitely help her place this high. I think she could improve her placing by working a little harder on her upper and lower back areas.

THIRD PLACE - Latisha Wilder
Latisha is a common name in the top ten in many figure competitions. Standing at 5'1" the "tone" on her small frame is well proportioned and symmetric, which really shows her hard work and how fit she really is. She has a great upper body, with a sleek, elegant taper to her tiny waist, followed by her long legs.
Her narrow ankles give her body a more aesthetically pleasing appearance than other competitors, placing her in the top three. All the competitors are truly beautiful, so it is tough competition, but Latisha is hard to leave out of the top ranks. To really jump the ranks, Latisha should focus a little more on the tone of her muscle.
Cheers
