Final Week Pics Coming Soon!

Sorry I have not sent in any updates as of late, I have been really busy and have not had time to write something up. Anyways here are the results from my show and the preceding week.

I won the middle weight class, weighing in at 175 pounds. This is an increase of 4 pounds since my last show in March, this is awesome considering I am natural! The morning of the show I felt good, my legs really came together, overnight I lost a lot of water near my teardrops and this made my legs look great. I was not happy with my color as I did not tan as much for this show, did not have the time. The overall was won by the heavy weight, he weighed 220 pounds and he was ripped, not much I could do in this situation. I did however look bigger than the light-heavy and felt I could have beating him.

With one week left to go, I am focused and ready to get this over with. The last week has been very difficult in terms of energy, I am finding myself quit sluggish and not very talkative. I stopped taking the Creatine at the starting of week 2, this will eliminate the little sugar intake that the CreaGro gave me. Starting Saturday, I will be going on ZERO carbs until Wed, then my carb loading will start. Here is my final week diet.

The 4 days of carb depleting are very tough, the steak is what got me thru my last workouts. Workouts were done on Wed, surprisingly I had great workouts, still feeling strong. I think the steak played a big role in this as I ate it just before going to train.

As for my grooming, I shaved my legs on Monday night and shaved the rest of my body on Tuesday. This gives my a nice little stubble some Saturday, I don't like the way I look the day after I shave as my skin appears thicker. I applied my first coat of protan on Wed night, this was a heavier coat. On Thursday another coat was applied and on Friday I applied one in the afternoon and anther at night.

The day of the started with me getting up at 4:30am and heading down to Denny's for breakfast. I only ate some oatmeal and steak. This was tough as I was eating with another competitor and he was pigging out on pancakes and everything else he could eat. Some people have different methods of getting ready for a show, this is one method I can't do. Once I got to the theatre I saw some of the competition and was please with the outcome until I saw the eventual winner of the show. He was quit big and looked in fantastic shape with his clothes on. Once I saw him without his clothes, I pretty much new the show was over and I just needed to concentrate on my class. I then came to find out that I was the only competitor in my class. This day was getting worse as time passed.

Finding out you are the only competitor in your class is not fun, 3 months of hell and nobody to compete against is a real bummer! The day went by very slowly as there was a big gap between pre-judging and the night show, I took this time to take a nap in my car. The overall show was good, lots of good athletes.

Unfortunately I still do not have any pictures as the photographer that was hired at the show forgot to put his flash on when taking the pictures therefore all my shots came out black!! I wanted to kill him as I did not take many shots because I was counting on him. I do however have the show on video and will be able to get some pictures out of that. As soon as I have some I will post them.

Best,
