Drugged or Not Drugged? By: Todd Blue I have been lifting naturally for 4 years and have gained over 100 pounds of muscle by following my simple plan: Think Big, Eat Big, Lift Big to Get Big. I want to be different from the rest of the drugged bodybuilders. I don't want to just be big for a natural bodybuilder; I want to be big PERIOD. With this thinking I am well on my way! Now let me clear something up. I am not one of those natural bodybuilders that dislikes anyone who uses the juice. The only difference between them and me is the decision to use or not to use. I just don't want to see someone jump into using the stuff with out getting the proper knowledge and know how before using it. I was surfing some Message Boards today and I like to go into the Steroid Message Boards just to see what everyone is saying. I came across some messages that really made me think. One guy said he had gained nearly 8 pounds from doing sustanon 250 for 8 weeks (he still had 2 weeks left). Now to me this is not worth the money nor is it worth my health. I have seen a poll on one site and the message was "What's your stats?" Everyone that answered said they had just come off or were in the last days of a cycle. Most guys' measurements were: Arms - 16-17", Chest 44-47", Thigh 24-27" with a body weight of 190-220 pounds. I am natural and my measurements are: Arms 18"cold, Chest - 50"cold, Thigh 30" cold, with a body weight over 235 pounds. People that I know that use the juice aren't patient people. They want it now. They aren't willing to put for the work and effort to attain it naturally. Patience is the biggest virtue in bodybuilding. Bodybuilding takes time and a lot of trial and error type work. After a few years of bodybuilding I have really been able to fine-tune what I do and get results every time I train. I average about 17 pounds of new muscle every year with proper supplementation, training and rest. I have put my mind to what I want to accomplish and I will not let anything stand in my way. There has been more advancement in the supplement industry in the past 5 years that in the very near future (if things continue the way they are headed) the natural bodybuilder will be as big as most drugged bodybuilders are today. Look at what natural bodybuilders look like today versus 10 years ago. The difference is amazing. It's nothing new for natural bodybuilders to have 19-20" arms today; in some cases it's hard to tell who is natural and who isn't. The choice to use steroids is up to you, can I nor anyone else makes this decision for you. Just remember they are illegal and can cause dangerous health problems. Also don't think that just because you get on them you will gain a lot of muscle. I had a good friend that weighed 180 pounds when he started a cycle of anadrol, sustanon, deca, d-bol, Growth hormone and clenbuterol. All he gained was 10 pounds over 8 weeks. Everybody is different some people will gain lots and some will gain a little. The reason I get when people tell me that they are going to use them is "I just haven't seen any results over the past few months". Some thing that I do is keep a monthly journal for my stats. I take them the same time each month on the same day. Some months I don't notice very much gains but looking back over a 6-month span the gains are pretty good. If I put just 1/8" on my arms each month that's more that a 1" for the year. This is just my view on using steroids or just using supplements. I you decide to use steroids use extreme caution. Learn as much as you can and study how and what to use and how to use it. Don't just jump in there and start shooting yourself up with stuff. It wouldn't hurt for you to even study and get as familiar with the stuff as you can over many months before you start. This stuff can really harm your body if done incorrectly so if you are going to use please use extreme caution. Just remember the pros spend between 50k and 100k on drugs a year, they are checked out by a doctor weekly and some daily. The choice is yours and what you do today can and will affect you for the rest of your life. I just don't want to be on my death bed at 50 years old and the doctor tell me the reason I am going to die is because I took steroids for so many years. This is just my opinion on a very controversial topic. Just really think about it and what the negative affects it could have on you. My main goal and why I choose to stay natural is to see how far I can push the envelope naturally; this motivates me very much and is something I look forward to.
