Why I Got Started

One day, I decided that I had to change because I was tired of my low self esteem, and I became a vegetarian. Turning into a healthy vegetarian was not easy because I loved meat, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to take. After I lost weight, I felt like it wasn't enough, so I joined a gym soon after my 17th birthday; still being a vegetarian.

How I Did It

It took a lot of effort and dedication, especially dedication. I'm really hooked on this. The most important part for me was will power, of course, I didn't see results immediately. But I stuck to going to the gym every day I could and eating as healthy as I could. After a while, I started seeing results and got even more hooked on this new healthy lifestyle.

Training

I train abs and do medium intensity cardio every day I go to the gym.

The ab exercises I do are:

  • Crunches (with weights): 4 sets of 20 reps
  • Flat Bench Lying Leg Raise: 2 sets of 75 reps
  • Side Bridge: 1 set of 1 minute hold

Day 1: Chest/Shoulders

Day 2: Biceps/Back

Day 3: Legs

Day 4: Triceps/Traps

Day 5: Circuit Training (lower weight)

Day 6: Rest

Day 7: Rest

Suggestions for Others

My best advice for anyone who wants to lose weight, gain muscle, or both, is to have determination and will power. Stay motivated, listen to music or something. Being consistent, for me, is the MOST important part about this. If you go to the gym only when you feel like it, and eat junk food, you won't achieve anything. Last but not least, push yourself to the limit, sweat your butt off. Work as hard as you can to achieve your goals and you WILL achieve them.
