Hello and welcome to my 10 week contest preparation series. This series will cover EVERYTHING I do in order to prepare for my first contest. Almost all young bodybuilders dream of one day competing. For me, that time has come. If you read this series, you can watch me pursue my dream.

*I was planning on entering a contest, April 20th, that was a lot closer to my house, but it got cancelled.

Each week I will update you on my progress, tell you what I am doing to prepare, and show you my latest pics. It will end with my competition experience article and my contest pics. Wish me luck!

Initial Info and Pics

After I showed my pictures to some friends, who are into bodybuilding and powerlifting, they told me I was ready to compete. They also greatly boosted my confidence with their comments. Because of their support, I decided to enter the Northern Bodybuilding Classic and Xtreme Fit competition.This is a natural contest, sanctioned by the N.A.N.B.F.

10 Weeks Out!

8 Weeks Out!
Eight weeks to go! Eight weeks seems like a long time, but the time will come. I am really excited about getting this week started. Commentary and of course, new tanned pics!

7 Weeks Out!
I am amazed by how my body is transforming. I have only been tanning for about a week and a half and dieting for three weeks, and I look completely different.

6 Weeks Out!
I am right on track for the contest. I have been losing about two pounds a week. It does not appear that I am losing muscle either, which is the goal of cutting. In another two weeks, my abs should be totally ripped. I still got some flab on the old love handles, but that will soon disappear.

5 Weeks Out!
5 weeks out... seems like just yesterday I was 10 weeks out. My contest preparation has been going great. It is amazing seeing my body change week by week. Having a date where you have to be in top condition is a major boost for your willpower. I know I must be the best I can be for April 28th.

4 Weeks Out!
4 weeks to go. I am really excited. The thought of getting on stage competing gives me chills. I can't wait to see how I look on contest day. Right now, I weigh around 181-182 and I am leaner than when I started my last bulking cycle where I weighed 175. So I put on some good quality muscle over my last bulking cycle.

3 Weeks Out!
3 weeks out! This is no time to think about slacking. These next two weeks are very critical. My diet must be perfect, or at least close to it. This week and next week are my last two weeks of dieting. During the last week, I will be gradually increasing my carbs, which will replenish my glycogen storage and make me fuller.

2 Weeks Out!
2 weeks out! Forget weeks, 14 days out! I am so excited. Everything is set. I have 2 posing suits, my Dream Tan, protein, L-Glutamine, and the rest of my vitamins. I am locked and loaded. My confidence is ever increasing with the positive comments I have been receiving through my email and on the message board about my pics.
