Size Matters... NOT! Does Size Mean You're Strong?

Demonstrating at the Arnold Classic certain feats of strength such as a Clean to Hand Balancing the 45LBS clubbell seemed to be more of a strength oddity for the larger-than-life beefcake brigade who couldn't even lift the Bruiser. Does size mattter?
I'm an average size for a man. As a matter of fact, demonstrating at the Arnold Classic certain feats of strength such as a Clean to Hand Balancing the 45 pounds clubbell seemed to be more of a strength oddity for the larger-than-life beefcake brigade who couldn't even lift the Bruiser.

I asked again and again ... "size matters?" How is it that an "average" sized athlete such as myself far out of the industry accepted "prime" of strength could perform such feats which the powder pump derby cannot even approximate? And even MORE astounding is the answer to this question "how is it that my athletes develop at a FASTER rate than I did when learning a feat?

Does Size Matter?

"Information Barriers" was the term taught to me by a strength guru of slight-build and massive heart named Vladimir Chubinsky. He stated that once one person overcomes one of these Information Barriers, a spontaneous mass leap of development occurs for all people.

Just look at our World Record standings. Doesn't it make you laugh that each time an individual breaks a long-standing record in time, volume, weight, et cetera that society again adopts the new limit as "impossible" to break. It's not limited to athletics, that's for certain.

Layer after layer of impossibility shatters and yet people hold fast to the illusion of the impossible.

When we come up short, when we are weighed, judged and found wanting it is never a failure of our intelligence, strength or energy. It is a failure of our imagination.

What ARE Your Limits?

The answer is ... you decide. More importantly, from social and moral imperative of the Knuckledragger, you choose OUR limits. By failing to penetrate the membrane of some Information Barrier, we all remain fettered to the current level of impossibility. Break that Barrier and you carve the way for us all. Like Hannibal, it is your ingenuity which reigns supreme "find a way or make one." We have a very short visit on this planet. And that visit involves suffrage. But you can choose your pain.

You can wait for Nature to give it to you, because she is a Mother, or you can take it upon yourself to proactively impose the pain upon yourself and use it as a vehicle for transformation. You can choose to use the pain as leverage to overcome Information Barriers. But the pain will come as death and taxes.

Needing size as MANDATORY for power is one of the false assumptions perpetrated by the current industry who preys upon us, though first fattening the quarry by feeding fixes of the "latest, hottest" supplement.

There was a much smaller man than myself, named Joseph Greenstein, who did amazing things to date yet replicated (and why should they? Seek your own brilliance.) Granted, no sloth can expect to break Information Barriers? but it certainly doesn't take a BIG man. It only takes right living, right purpose, right cause ...
