This is like waking up early on Christmas morning seeing your presents under the tree but having to wait for your father to be bailed out of jail and your mother to wake up from her alcohol induced coma.... lol

A NOTE FROM BODYBUILDING.COM:

It's coming at 6pm ... PROMISE! Our team is working day-and-night to make sure you have everything you need on all 84 days to succeed. Jim goes into such great detail on this program and we wanted to make sure it was built properly.

Believe me ... this one is worth the wait! In the future we will look at doing midnight releases so you don't have to wait!

Cheers!

Looking at the nutrition part, the calories seemed really high. I am currently around 2200 calories, and I find I struggle losing it on that. Adding another 1000 seems like I would go in the other direction? Maybe you could explain it better for me? Other than that really looking forward to giving this a go, once I get back into proper training.

I'm in the same boat as you I take in about 2240 calories a day give or take and when I did the calorie calculator for this program it said to take 4200. I think thats more for bulking up though. I was just going to add another protein shake in the mix so I'm taking in more protein but thats only like an extra 200 calories.

I really like the idea of this program, but I'm worried three days off a week for someone who is only 18 might be too much and make me not grow as fast. Anyone have any opinions on if I should follow this or if I should stick with six days a week of working out?

Hey Justin. Jim and myself chatted about this on set during the filming of the shortcut to size trainer. It's important to remember that you don't grow in the gym, you grow outside the gym. Six days a week of intense, hypertrophy training, runs the serious risk of overtraining, which will have the opposite affect you're trying to achieve. Giving your muscle fibers enough time to rebuild is the best way to utilize the time you've spent in the gym, and allow you to continue to push yourself hard every time you're pushing weight.

1) I started to workout fasted just PWO should I not do that since it says to have fruit and shake 1st

2) Can I take a week off at week 6, if so would this affect negatively my gains

3)I am on a 500cal deficit should I stop this and go by recommended macros? Would I still be able to loose body fat if eat around maintenance?

Since this is a bulking program, your primary goal should be recovery so that you can perform the reps in the range for the particular microcycle you're on. So the answer is simply, rest as long as you need to be able to complete the rep range for your recommended set. Now if your goal is also to lose fat, then reduce your rest time to keep your heart rate up. But this means you probably won't be able to work with as much weight as you typically could.

But seriously you have to be retarded not to make gains using a linear progression and compound movements. It's nice to see someone base their workouts off fact. Good stuff!

I'm a beginner/novice, and i want to start this program. I'm just confused because people on the forums say this program is not for beginners and that you should do a 3-day full body routine in the stickies, even though Jim assures that this program is for both beginners and advanced lifters and it's science-backed. People say beginners should always train each body part more than once a week, but that's not the case in this program. Is this program really optimal for beginners? Or is a typical 3-day routine better?
