Shortcut To Size: Phase 2, Week 6, Day 39

Build bolder shoulders, stronger traps, and carved calves. Time to press, shrug, and raise the roof on your results.
Back | Main | Next

Work your body from both ends. Build bigger shoulders for a better taper and the appearance of a smaller waist, and carve toned calves for increased power and a classic, athletic look.

Terms You'll Need To Know

Rest-Pause: During weeks one and two of each phase of the program, you will do a rest-pause set as the last set of each exercise. To do this, reach muscle failure on the last set, then rack the weight and rest 15 seconds. Then continue the set until you reach muscle failure again.

Warm-up Sets: Perform 1-2 warm-up sets of 12-15 reps on the first exercise for all body parts, except abs and calves. Warm-up sets lubricate the joints, send blood to the working muscle, and prepare your body for a heavier load. After your warm-up sets, dive directly into the working sets below!

I'm still going strong. Really starting to see shifts in composition. Mostly maintaining weight...probably because I started a little chunky.

Week six and feeling better than ever! up 9lbs already, with a good bit of that being lean mass. I've been following the workouts with some minor variations here and there, plus eating a ton of good foods. can't wait to see what the next month does for me.

I've gained 10 pounds so far, and will hit the halfway mark on Sunday. My goal is another 10 or more pounds (I was extremely Skinny for my height and age).

I can see the differences in pictures, but I haven't noticed much differences after taking measurements.

I've gained about 16lbs so far. Im sure some of that is fat as about 10% of the time been eating a few naughties... can't help it occasionaly! It's hard to cook six meals and take it to college/work every single day, however I've been following the diet perfectly for the majority of the time and have seen great improvements. I can't wait to start a cut and get those abs really showing!

I've gained about 10lbs and almost completed week 6...I think a lot is water weight & bloat from the excess carbs, but some has got to be solid muscle as my fat % has only increased about 0.5%. I went from his shortcut to shred program to this, so the weight gain is probably due to lack of cardio and lots of carbs?

I was starting to get worried. I have gained 5-7 lbs in the last 6 weeks and my BF% has stayed about the same, maybe .5-1% even higher but it seems like I am not the only one. My diet is clean-no cheating. This week I started adding even more cardio because I don't want to gain anymore fat...

i had added almost 15 lbs in six weeks. I figure the creatine had add 3-4 pounds of water weight. I am getting a little belly bulge probably from the 3 shakes a day and the lack of cardio. Program is great and I am seeing really great changes in tone and size. Will start runnig program when done :)

Anyone else actually losing weight? I'm halfway through and I've followed calorie requirements and work hard every rep, but I've dropped 9 pounds. Unfortunately I can't afford all of the supplements all of the time but I do what I can.
