It is funny how fitness and bodybuilding are looked differently then playing golf, being on a co-ed softball team, or even marathon rollerblading. See it seems that media tends to advertise SEX into fitness and bodybuilding.
The Health and Fitness Industry is a big business. Seeing beautiful bodies SELL. But there is more to this sport. It requires a lot of time and intense training to compete. Building and re-shaping ones body and performance takes a lot of focus, discipline, and hard work. I hear women and men say they are so focused on their training that their spouse or loved ones get neglected.
If you live with someone that doesn't eat all the food you do or take all the supplements you do... it can drive them crazy sometimes. It is important before you start something very serious like a competitive sport, to talk to your partner. Let them know what is in store and that it might be hectic for those 8-12 weeks dieting and on occasion there might be financial strains and traveling. Ask them for support to help you. Take time out at least once a week for this person. Like the CHEAT DAY. Use this day to go on a wonderful adventure with him or her. Reassure them that some of the things that involve this sport are purely for exposure and invite them to all photo shoots and events. Communication is the most important element in a relationship. If you really care for or love this person they will understand. If they don't want or is interested in what you do then maybe they have a hobby they can take up so you can share your experiences with one another. You go sometimes to his events he likes to do and he do on yours.
Don't let stubbornness or ego get in the way of something that is so beautiful. Love is so powerful that men and women have searched the earths for and even sacrificed their lives for. If it has been given to you as a gift, treasure and respect it.
