Background

I've spent the majority of my life growing up in Colorado, where the outdoors is the place to be. Although my family didn't get an opportunity to go skiing or rock climbing very often, we were very active in hunting, fishing, and target practicing. Sometimes it amazes me that some grown men don't know how to clean a gun, I've known how since I was 6 years old!

I was born in Colorado Springs where my father was the Director of Personnel for the school district and my mother was a homemaker. I have two brothers that far exceed my age. My oldest brother, who is 16 years my elder is currently a Minister in Boise, Idaho. My other brother is an electrician, located in Dallas. I have a sister that is three years older than me who currently resides in Boise, working at a landscaping company.

The majority of my father's family lived in Colorado Springs and we spent a lot of our time with them. My family has always been extremely involved with the Church of Christ. Later in life, my father became and Elder of our Church. He was definitely the most influential person in my life. He worked very hard to teach me the rewards that come in serving others, how to work diligently and patiently for what I wanted to achieve, the importance of family, and most of all, why we worship and serve God. My father died when I was 18 due to a combination of pneumonia and Post Polio Syndrome. The experience was by far the most difficult event I've ever endured, and I'm still enduring it today. I try to bring my father honor in my service to my family, the Church, and others surrounding me.

I moved to Boise in 2002, shortly after graduating High School. I completed my Massage Therapy Certification at the Academy of Professional Careers in 2003. I have been practicing Massage Therapy in my spare time since then. I find ultimate satisfaction in giving massage because of the difference I can see in my clients in such a short amount of time. Working with the muscles of the body is rewarding for many different reasons, but mostly because I'm continuing to learn new techniques all the time. Currently, I'm a student at Boise State University, working toward an English major.
