This ongoing event through October will be free to the public to see what bodybuilding competitors do during shows. There will also be additions made at this time to the Muscle Beach Venice Bodybuilding Hall of Fame.
What Is It:
Joe Wheatley Productions is presenting a Sunday afternoon of Bodybuilding Posing Routines. The event started Sunday, August 21 and continues each Sunday through to October 30, 2005.
This is not a competition but a demonstration. It provides male and female bodybuilders with an opportunity to show their best posing routines on the main stage in front of the "Weight Pen" at Muscle Beach Venice.
When:
Every Sunday from August 21 - October 30, 2005
Muscle Beach
Venice, CA
The event starts at 2 pm and continues until 4 pm. Bobybuilding.com is the title sponsor and provides the audience with giveaways of t-shirts, towels and coupons. Admission is free to the public, an established tradition at Muscle Beach.
In addition we are educating the public by demonstrating the mandatory poses that are used by the judges to rank athletes during competition. Figure competitors can also come to practice quarter turns, stage presence, and after all, what's better than girls in bikinis and heels at the beach.
Who Will Be There?
Millard Williamson, Larry Scott and Cory Everson will be inducted into the Muscle Beach Venice Bodybuilding Hall of Fame on Labor Monday September 5, 2005.
Millard Williamson is the Muscle Beach Champion (1956), Larry Scott won the first ever Mr. Olympia in 1965 and Cory Everson, was a 6 time Ms. Olympia.
* Note These special guests will not be attending each Sunday event.
