Many of the world's greatest bodybuilders will compete at The 17th Annual IFBB Iron Man Pro scheduled for February 18, 2006 at the historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The Iron Man Pro is the biggest and longest-running IFBB professional bodybuilding event on the West Coast and the only pro show in Los Angeles, the Mecca of the sport. Along with vying for a record $30,000 in prize money, the top 3 finalists will qualify to compete in the next Mr. Olympia.
Francis Benfatto, an IFBB star known for his flawless proportion will be returning to the competitive arena after a 15 year absence. The Iron Man Pro is known for its impeccable presentation and lighting, offering fans the opportunity to see their favorite athletes compete in a state of the art theater. Jim Manion, President of The NPC, will be honored with The Peary and Mabel Rader Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his 30 plus years of dedication to the sport of bodybuilding. The 17th Annual IFBB Iron Man Pro is the anchor event of TheFitExpo, a three day fitness extravaganza (February 17-19, 2006) featuring 150 exhibitors, seminars, training sessions, and competitions. Ronnie Coleman, Eight time Mr. Olympia, will be one of 50 guest speakers offering complimentary lectures to attendees. Popular bodybuilders Lee Priest, Gunter Schlierkamp, Shawn Ray, and Lenda Murray will also be speaking and meeting fans.
