I began my 6-week cycle of 1AD & 4AD on Sunday July 21st I ended it on August 31st. I had been craving this cycle for sometime. Needless to say I was really excited and upon beginning the cycle I had a very positive outlook. I went into the trial expecting great results. The cycle that I used was first mentioned in my off-season article. If you have not read it please do, but for now here is a refresher. This is the cycle that I have experimented with for the first portion (6 weeks) of my off-season. Week 1-6 consisted of 600 mg of 1AD and 600 mg of 4AD stacked together. I pulled it out of an article that Peter Van Mol, AKA "Big Cat" wrote. This guy's knowledge of molecular prohormone science is simply amazing. This is all of the information you need to learn about the stacking cycle that I have chosen. The information below was pulled straight from the Bodybuilding.com site and can be found on Peter's page here. The concoction is called "Stack #5" (1AD and Nor-diol, 4-AD) in his article. Peter Van Mol "Big Cat" Writes: "This is a hypothetical stack based on what I know of 1AD. Like I said, I'm trying it at the end of summer and will report back with detailed results, the good and the bad and the terrifyingly ugly (let's hope there is none of that) on just how useful 1AD really is. Week 1-6 600 mg of 1AD and 600 mg of 4AD Take in 3 evenly spread doses of 200 mg of each product throughout the day. This is a dose that allows you to see decent benefits off of 1AD without putting you straight in the poor house. In this instance it's a 6-week iso-stack, using 4AD as the counterpart. Because of the moderate dose and the daily spread you can get a lot out of the 4AD too. This is a very androgenic stack and should under no circumstances be taken by women. The 4AD makes a good partner for 1AD because it enhances the androgenic effect and it repairs a loss of libido that may come with the use of 1AD. Not to mention that these are possibly two of the most anabolic legal substances available today." After reading about all of the cycle recommendations listed on Big Cat's page, I chose this cycle because it is not so powerful that it will put my system into shock. It is sort of a starter stack for what is to come later on in the off-season when I go "balls out" on some heavier stuff (other prohormones). I also like the fact that it is economical and it gives even the commonly associated "poor man", the student, a chance to give it a whirl. Additionally, I really like the fact the 4AD will repair the loss of libido that is associated with some prohormones. I personally had a bad experience with prohormones before. The product that I was using to raise the androgens in my blood seemed to be bogus and did not fix the problem. My system really was wacky for about 4 weeks. I actually scared me a little. I consulted with Big Cat and he said the he had received other negative reports pertaining to the same product. I decided to go with a different brand of 4AD this go around. For those of you that are wondering what the product was I will tell you because Bodybuilding.com always makes a point to tell it like it is. I was using AST's 4-AD and in their defense I may not have been taking enough. However, Big Cat noted that others reported the product not living up to its claims as well. I guess you will have to make that decision for yourself. The brands that I choose for my cycle are listed below. Moving on to the review, there were certain topics that I wanted to cover during my experience on the cycle. The topics were: changes in strength, libido, sense of well-being, appetite, feeling of aggression, weight gain, and muscle fullness. These are the issues that I have decided to study during my prognosis of the report. If some other factors became present that I felt would be notable I was going to add them in the article as well as well. Bodybuilding.com strives to keep an honest reputation and put out truthful information to there customers. Knowing this you can rest assure that I am giving you nothing but the truth. Changes In Strength As you would imagine I did not experience any immediate changes in my strength. I did start to notice that some of the weights that I was using and was used to struggling with became much more easier to handle during the 4th week of the cycle. Why did it take so long? Well first of all 4 weeks is really not a long time especially if you realize that the weight that I was using were common to my level of strength for some time now. It probably took about 2 weeks for my body to go through the "first pass" mechanism of the liver. This is when the liver recognizes a product as a foreign substance and passes it off as a waste item. Once the liver recognizes it as something that is common it will allow the substance into the system and you can begin to reap the benefits associated with the product. The supplements get into the system in a notable amount once the first pass is complete. In summation of strength gains I did experience some. But it was not an amazing phenomenon. This is a theoretical example; a lifter will not go from squatting 100 lbs for 10 reps to 300 lbs for 30 reps. The 100 lbs will just seem to be significantly lighter. Obviously this means that the lifter will be able to increase the poundage that they were using before the cycle began. Libido Again, as you would imagine I did not experience any changes at first due to the first pass mechanism once again. I was hoping for a positive change in libido. I wanted to avoid a drop in sexual drive during the cycle. This is the reason for having the 4AD present in the cycle. I did experience a slight loss of libido but it was nowhere to the extreme of the first cycle that I had done when my 4-AD was living up to par. The loss of libido will not however change your ability to perform sexually if you will. This is great information for those of you that are wondering what your girlfriends or wives will think while you are using the cycle. Sense of Well Being I definitely noticed a change in confidence while on the cycle. I felt good and very confident. Everything was great! This was one of the better experiences of the cycle. It gave me a feeling of positiveness in all areas of life. I was just so confident while on the cycle. It was great! Nothing fazed me. Appetite I am a pretty consistent eater and I do not feel that my appetite changed at all. I still ate as I had planned to. This one was hard to determine though because I have always had a great appetite. I love to eat. So you might expect to see a slight gain if you have poor appetite, but I experienced none. Feeling of Aggression This falls into the same category of well-being. I was not more aggressive in a negative connotation so to speak but I was really confident. Weight Gain I began the cycle weighing 132 lbs. I had just finished competing and I was still coming up from the contest season. At the end of the cycle I am now weighing 143-145 first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Remember I do not credit all of the weight gain to the supplements because I was going to be gaining some weight regardless. I had just began to make changes in my diet and would have gained weight no matte what. I had my friend Maris Lee assessing my weight changes by looking at me in a posing mirror under some good lighting and he said that in two weeks we could be back on stage. This means that after dropping a little water, making a few changes to my diet, and bumping up my cardio regimen we would be back into competition shape. Not bad! If you eat for it you can gain some quality weight using this cycle. I gained a total of 10 pounds. Muscle Fullness I was experimenting with a gluconeogenic diet while on the cycle. I feel that if I would have been eating some carbohydrates immediately following my training sessions I would have felt a little fuller. I did not always feel super full during the cycle but I 100% attribute that to my choice of diet. If I were to be using the two windows of opportunity for carbohydrate consumption, which are first thing in the morning and immediately following your training session I feel that fullness would not have been a problem. Additional Changes Noted: Muscles Soreness I am one of those individual that usually get terrible sore via training. This is called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). After about the third week on the cycle this pretty much went away. I seemed to be a little sore because I was training so hard but it was nothing in comparison to what I was used to feeling. This was another great benefit of the cycle. My body was able to repair itself at a quick rate and the micro-trauma was hardly even noticeable. This is proof that the cycle was working. If I had the time I could have trained each muscle group twice every week. Usually I would state that doing that would leave you in a state of over training but not while using this stack of anabolic precursors. I had never experienced this phenomenon before... it was awesome. Sleeping Patterns I have always been one to complain about sleep. I have even stated to some that I have lost the comfort in a good nights rest. While on the cycle it became worse. I had trouble sleeping and when I did fall asleep I would wake up during the night to find my self dripping in sweat, particularly in the upper chest and neck area. I was hot in the evenings for some reason. I think that the cycle had me really hyped up and this could be looked upon as a negative side effect or a positive one. I was not sleeping, but I knew that the prohormones were in my system doing something. Should YOU Try This Stack?
When you sit down and think about it is not that hard to come up with the money. Skipping one night of happy hour, cooking your own meal instead of eating out one night during the week (fast food & restaurants are expensive), leaving that pack of smokes alone for a couple of days (you shouldn't smoke regardless), leaving the beer alone for one night, or skipping a tanning session are a few ways to come up with the savings. These are a few small time sacrifices that you can make to obtain the products required for the stack. The point that I just tried to get across is that if you want it bad enough you should realize just how affordable this stack really is. I report in culmination that the stack was a winner. I would use the stack again and recommend it to anyone looking to add a little edge to their training regimen. You will feel stronger, confident, gain weight, and experience little to no muscle soreness due to your remarkable recovery abilities.
