Photo Finish: 10 Surreal Bodies
My mission is to take the traditional idea of a fitness image in a different direction, one that embodies the passion and dedication of my subjects. These athletes are very real. They have dedicated their lives to fitness or their chosen sport. I pose and light these amazing physiques in a way that allows me to tell a story. Regardless of their fantastical backdrop, the athletes have invested the sweat and the hours needed to look this way. They pushed the iron. They stuck to their diet. They went the extra mile. Here are their destinations.

Anyone can look great under digital enhancements... I appreciate the art of it, but this isn't motivating.

Motivation, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. Appreciate your engagement with the content, as well as your feedback.

@ RPullen Anyone can look great under digital enhancements? Are you kidding me? Do obese or overweight people look "great" under digital enhancements? I think not. Some of them may not have been the most surreal bodies that I have ever seen, but they worked their ***** off for the bodies that they have, and THAT is supposed to be the motivation, not the 6-pack or 8-pack abs that you see, dime a dozen on this site.

Have to agree with RPullen, everything looks fake. If I wanted to see photoshop'd pictures I would go get a magazine.

Looking good in a photoshopped swimsuit is one thing. Being able to swim as good as you look is another. Got plenty of great looking girls in swim suits at swim practice. It's way more sexy if they actually are athletic and are able to swim fast.

While I agree these people featured here have great physiques, you can digitally enhance a less-than-stellar one. Just look at any magazine picture of Christina Aguilera, they manage to remove about 40 pounds from her physique.

I'm trying to figure out how some of the scrawny women that make these listings are considered 'surreal'. Thought this was a bodybuilding site? Where are the beautiful women who actually LIFT??

Except for Jamie Eason whose body cannot really be seen here the rest do look scrawny

This would be motivating if it wasn't so silly looking. This reminds me of the Avatar "creatures." Make me a "Digital Mr. Universe" too.

People such as steventealy have the right to say what they think regardless whether we agree with his opinion or not. There is no need to make fun of anyone just cause his remarks does not fit the profile of others.

But if steventealy has the right to say what he thinks about this person's work, doesn't everyone else have the right to say what they think about steventealy or his opinion? Can't protect the right of one to voice opinion then sqash the right of others to respond. It goes both ways!!

It does indeed go both ways you're right. I'm just asking for a little of respect in opinion difference, and not squandering insults while at it. Pointing at steventealy's physique as being mediocre and incapable of development is not something we should encourage, especially at a motivational bodybuilding site.

Clearly you have not seen these athletes in person. These photos are amazing and so are these athletes. They truly represent them. The colors are enhanced yes, the physique is not. You should be motivated by them, the photos do not do their true appearance credit for their dedication.

You said it-people need to chill. Sadly, it takes almost no effort to complain about something, especially when it doesn't affect them.
It's a form of motivating art using athletes, nothing wrong with that. Will it be motivating for everyone? Probably not. Doesn't mean it's bad. Jeeeesh. C'mon people.
With the time and effort he put into creating these, I would say excellent job. Would go one step farther and say I wouldn't mind having them up in my training room or in the gym somewhere. Now there's an idea. Ha!
