I'm about 4 weeks out from the SNBF Nationals and training has been going extremely well. I have been getting more than enough of my daily dose of weights and cardio and it's starting to take it's toll on my body.

For once, I had the urge to cheat on my diet. Fortunately, I didn't have any money on me to purchase the Snickers bar. I've leaned out dramatically and am displaying ample amounts of vascularity. This should improve when I start visiting the sauna about 5 times a week.

 Setbacks
There have been a few minor setbacks in my training though. I suffered a sprain in my right thumb which will make training quite difficult for the next few days and I laid in bed sick on my last off day. As I said, these are only minor setbacks which I will work around somehow.
Nationals is too important for me to whine about a little ache here and there. Much like Dorian Yates, I will have to dig deep to display my true fighting spirit.

My training has been going as I have outlined in a previous article. High reps, low sets, high frequency, little rest. I usually find myself breathing hard when I start my next set. I started with 30 minutes of cardio work per day for 7 straight days, and am now up to two 30 minute sessions per day.
If things go as planned, I'll be up to two 45 minute sessions next week, followed by two one-hour sessions the next week. I should be nice and ripped by then!
Until my next update, train hard, train smart, and train naturally!
