Dear Readers,
I have had a request to outline my typical offseason diet so without further ado, here it is:
I generally consume 4-6 meals per day in the offseason depending on my schedule. Being a full-time student makes it difficult to squeeze in all of these meals but I manage just fine.
My tentative weekday schedule looks similar to this:
- 6:45 AM - 1 gram Vit C, 2 tabs Xenadrine, 4 grams Glutamine, 1 gram HMB
- 7:15-8:45 AM - workout
- 9:00 AM - 1 serving Cell-Tech Hardcore/1 serving Methoxy-Pro, 4 grams glut., 1 gram Vit C, 2 g Vanadyl Sulfate, 1 gram HMB(Meal 2)
- 10:00 AM - Meal 2, 1 tab TwinLab Daily One, 1 tab Anti-Oxidant, 1 tab Joint Fuel
- 1:30 PM - Meal 3, 1 gram Vit C
- 5:00 PM - Meal 4, 1 gram Vit C
- 7:30 PM - Lean Body Labrada Protein Shake(Meal 5)
- 9:30 PM - Meal 6, 1 gram Vit C
- 12:00 - bedtime, 4 tabs Z-Mass, 4 grams glutamine
My typical daily meals usually consist of 2 chicken breasts, about 1.5-2 cups of plain pasta, some veggies, and usually 12-20 ounces of water. I'm a firm believer in Vitamin C and that is why I consume about 5 grams or so a day. If you haven't noticed, I eat relatively clean even in the offseason but I'm only human though and I do have a soft spot for junk food. Sometimes I will have a slice of pizza at one of my meals. Maybe even a patty melt. However, I try to eat clean for the most part. I only treat myself to junk food if I'm getting bored with the usual chicken breast/pasta combination. I don't go overboard with it though and that is why I don't balloon to a disproportionate size in the offseason. Good luck with your diet and keep those e-mails rolling in.
