I guess when you have been fat at some point in your life, you ask yourself "Do I like what I see? Do I like how I feel?" I wasn't happy at all with the way I had let myself get to. I had gotten fat and was feeling horrible all the time. Breathing was a hard thing for me. So I decided to get started but I always have to have a goal to keep me going. If I do not set a goal then I know I will fail. I was rather fat in my younger years and was often told "you need a bra" or "what's up fat boy?"
I just got tired of it and finally made myself do it. If you can just make yourself diet down 1 time...just 1 time, then you will be hooked! It is hard, I wont lie. Your friends will tempt you to eat poorly and people will say you cant do it, but you can!
Diet was everything. I decided to give Dave Palumbo's diet a try and wow, did it ever work! My fat loss was slow but steady. Every day I felt a little better and better. When I started to see my abs come in, I thought I was going to do a flip! A mixture of weight training and cardio also helped take the fat off. I kept my heart rate under 130 bpm for an hour on the stair master 5 days a week. My training was simple, 4 sets of 8-10 reps.
1 body part a day for me, I like to do it this way so that I can really focus on that muscle better. I stayed on Bodybuilding.com for motivation. My friends here were helpful and I really liked to look at bodybuilding pictures to help me stay on fire!

I can promise you this, if you stay consistent and give yourself time, you will make it. You can and will have the body you always dreamed of, but you have to stay with the program. It takes hard work and time to get there. Diet is everything!
