 Why I Got Started
The reason I decided to change my body was simple. I always wanted to one day look cut and really toned. When I came back from 2 weeks of military training, a friend told me I was starting to lose weight and looking more defined. I knew I had to push myself if I wanted to see results, but I didn't know where to start. I went to a gym and started working out and the fitness lady told me if I wanted to get toned and cut, that it would have to start in the kitchen. I took that to heart and started to eat right and push myself to achieve my goal. That advice she gave me really got me started. It motivated me and lit a spark in me that never died down. I started my workout routine June 16, 2009 and I am currently still pushing myself every day for excellence. It's been a long 9 months for me, but I made it. When people ask me for advice I tell them it starts in the kitchen. I tell them to try eating healthy for one month and exercise and let me know how they turn out.

 How I Did It
I went into the kitchen and got rid of everything that wasn't healthy. I replaced everything in my refrigerator with things like yogurt, eggs, fish, chicken breast, vegetables, fruits, wheat bread, brown rice, tuna, albacore tuna, nuts, protein bars, veggie meat, whole grain cereal, peanut butter and lots of water. I stopped drinking sodas, stopped eating sweets like cakes, pies, candy etc. The only sugar I do have is the one's that come in protein bars. They pretty much stop my sugar craving. Combine a healthy diet with exercise and you have the perfect recipe for a nice body. It takes time, but it's worth it in the end.
