Why I Got Started
I got started after seeing pictures from my wedding and not liking any of the pictures that I'm in. It was embarrassing for anyone to see them.
How I Did It
I started experimenting with a diet that worked for me, which was a little difficult since I'm a picky eater and don't like salad. Following that I joined a local gym close to my house. Trying it at home would not work for me since I've tried that several times.
I would need to get out of the house around others working hard. I started by walking on the treadmill and watching others use the equipment so I could learn how to use it. Once I was in a routine I worked out at least 4 days per week but usually would end up being 5-6. Also I would give myself a cheat meal once a week but nothing fried.
I quit drinking anything that had calories in it. If I was going to count calories I was going to eat all the calories I would take in. With my cheat meal I would have a glass of tea with Splenda instead of sugar. My number one reason for success was my new wife.
She would keep me motivated when I was down and would push me in the gym when I didn't want to go. She knew I wanted to go but was being stubborn because I was having a bad day. The second best thing was buying a scale.
I was too big to see results in the mirror and the scale doesn't lie to you. If you work hard it will prove it to you and if you cheated and would show you how you got that way in the first place.
- Monday: Arms, Back, Chest & 30 Minutes Of Cardio
- Tuesday: Core & 30 Minutes Of Cardio
- Wednesday: 45 Minutes On Elliptical & 1 Mile On Treadmill
- Thursday: Softball
- Friday: Lower Body & 30 Minutes Of Cardio
