[ Q ] Did you have any stretch marks on your body when you were bigger? I don't see any in the pics. If you had any? What did you do to get rid of them? Also, do you have any loose skin?

A: I didn't have any "loose skin". I think because I was young enough and that I did most of my weight loss over a long period of time (1 year), that my skin tightened up.

The Stretch Mark Manual.
To some people, stretch marks are battle scars and symbolize muscle growth. These people think you should walk around your gym, wearing your stretch marks with pride. For those of your that don't, read on and find out how to get rid of them!

I had some stretch marks on the front sides of my stomach - but as the weight was coming off they were got lighter. I did use some lotion that seemed to help some. - DMAE (tones skin) & Vitamin E.

[ Q ] How old are you? I recently lost about 75lbs and I thought my transformation was awesome. Damn. You deserve all your success and more!

A: Right now I'm 24 yrs old. What I did was not that amazing; any kind of weight loss is tough to do. I would not compare what I did to your experience.

Everyone is different and they have different goals. I'm 100% sure what you did was just as amazing! You should be very proud and not compare someone else's accomplishments with your own. That's when people start to over look personal achievements. Be proud man!

[ Q ] Whoa, that is f***ing impressive, that's one of the BEST transformations I've ever seen, beats the shit out of Jared's subway diet. That's awesome man, excellent work. How has this affected your self confidence and outlook?

A: It has affected everything from my career to my love life. But I was doing this when my life was at the cross roads with college ending and me becoming my own person. It really made my life turn a full circle.

It has SERIOUSLY affected my love life in a good way...

Seriously I have become a new person... and that's not BS. I have not met one person that knew me before that has ever told me that I have not impressed them.

My friends & family really are proud of me from what I have achieved (not just by losing the weight). From what I have achieved after losing weight and the determination that it takes I have learned a lot about achieving goals! - But I did it for myself, not to make someone else feel better or look at me different.

[ Q ] That is the best transformation I've ever seen. You should have entered Bill Phillips Body-For-Life challenge... you would have won for sure....you're transformation was better than almost all the finalists in his competition.

A: I never really thought about entering in anything, I just pretty much just wanted to loose the weight with the least amount of attention to it.

For the longest time I didn't really let too many people know about this. (except for the people around me that new). I just did it and I'm not really a guy that likes attention.

[ Q ] Wow - amazing job, it's really motivating too see big transformations, especially since I've been transforming myself for about 6-7 months now (no cheating!), and any motivation now is great!

Just a question: did you have the biggest cheat meal/day of your life once you reached a particular goal?

A: Thanks, Yeah I had a huge cheat meal for a week, I went on vacation to Cancun and it was an all inclusive resort. The most amazing buffet and all the drinks.

I laid on the beach and drank pina coladas and mud slides all day and had as much seafood and desserts that I could take - some nights going back for cheesecake 5 times! But when I got home I only gained 6 pounds, and that came off pretty fast.

[ Q ] This is seriously the most inspiring thing I've ever seen regarding weight loss.

I started off somewhere close to where you were, 261.5 lbs, 40% body fat. I'm down to 209 23.5% now, but I still have a very long way to go, though I've only been doing this for 5 months. You are right when you say you must change your mindset.

I scrounge around the internet looking for before and after photos of guys that were my size in the before and then really good looking in the after photos. I had never really found any to satisfy my hopes and dreams. And seeing other guys here with before and after pics... all of their afters look amazing, but I think most of their befores look good too! That never really motivated me, because I see these guys that seem in good shape to begin with just getting in better shape, and not huge guys getting into great shape. I just couldn't relate.

Well, your before is very similar to what I was, and your after is absolutely amazing. I always figured that since I got so big I would never be able to get a good body, no matter how hard I tried. But I guess that idea is out of my head now after seeing you. I mean... what can I say but "Wow."

The fact you did this all while being successful in business also amazes me. I've dedicated myself to the field of science, and figured that all the great looking guys must devote themselves to training several hours everyday to get to where they were, and that was out of the question for me if I wanted to do what I do. You make it sound simple and simply a matter of determination.

Well anyway, I can't say enough how inspiring this is to me. In fact, I look forward to waking up tomorrow just so I can exercise and be one step closer to a day I may even be half as successful as you have been. Once again... wow.

A: I look forward everyday to waking up and working out. I don't crave any of those bad foods. I crave my PWO shake more then anything. I love it!! That is one thing that motivates me. Because I know going into the gym and working out hard there is going to be a shake that tastes amazing at the end & my body needs it! So it's like a daily cheat for me.

The transformation I had was something that I did not expect. Going into it I had no clue what I was going to look like. I just knew if I stuck with it I would drop the weight & feel better about myself.

If you loose any weight your appearance is going to change. You're going to feel amazing because you will see yourself everyday and know how good you look. You're going to have this "glow" about you. Because you will know what you have achieved! Everything is going to be better. The way you dress, the way you talk to girls/guys, the way you walk into a room...

I feel that if someone is dedicated to working out - you can parlay that into business and be successful at both. I would suggest not stopping at loosing weight but also going after ever single one of your goals in life!

[ Q ] I have the up most respect for your achievement and hold great respect for you as an individual on how you have looked at your life and achieved so much.

You truly are an inspiration to not just people that are looking to lose weight or get fitter, but to everyone as a whole. I cannot express enough on what you have achieved and thank you for sharing your experience with others. Outstanding!

A: I'm blessed to have the ability to share what I have achieved. I hope everyone that gets a chance to read this and see what I have experienced can take it and try to change something in there life.

[ Q ] Hey man, just wanted to say great job and that you truly are an inspiration. The one question I have for you is what you do for your eating plan during holidays and special events like birthdays weddings, traveling out of town for work and stuff like that.

I seem to do good during the year but when I go out of town or during holidays. From Halloween to New Years I fall off the bandwagon.

Do you have any tips for during these tough times? During the school year it's not hard to stay on track cause my days are so structured and but during that time period every year it's like I go from being in the best shape of my life to gaining 25 pounds.

I start to eat like crap and I feel if I'm not eating correctly why work out. I am determined for this not to happen this year. Any tips would be really appreciated. Again keep up the good work

A: I travel a lot; it's tough to really stay focused when you are not surrounded by your daily routine. But you really have to plan in advance when you do travel, go to parties or events. Here are some tips that I do...

    1. Plan your day around events, if you know you are going to a dinner, eat light the rest of the day, and make sure you eat often, and don't go to the party hungry.
    2. Stay away from alcohol.
    3. Drink lots of water.
    4. Eat healthy when you can. If you aren't working out when you are traveling, then make sure you eat right!
    5. Limit calories all day - but eat often.
    6. Stay away from dips, sugars, chips...
    7. Try to just have fun with your family/friends and not focus on the food. Meaning stay busy with them. Keep your mind off the food.
    8. Eat small portions of all the good foods, and fill up on the healthy foods.

[ Q ] Here's something, I got to ask you... First off, good job, good hard work man.

Next, how do you deal with chicks? Example: A girl I know that never gave me the damn time of day, all of the sudden was all over me after seeing me a few months later, I told her to get lost. I used to be the opposite of you, the skinny kid. I would consider myself a good looking guy too, with brains to back it up also.

The thing is, it just pisses me that here I am putting in hard work @ the gym, school, and my career (engineering); while all these chicks are out partying away and whoring around.

Just has caused me to pretty much despise girls now (no, I'm NOT gay) that I have changed a lot and can get many girls I could never have before. Just shows you how shallow bitches are. What are your takes on this?

A: Yeah, I know what you mean. When I first lost the weight I was not around any of the girls that knew me when I was heavier. But when they saw me, things changed. I don't really get involved with girls from the past. I look forward for the girls that I have not met yet.

Honestly I really enjoy meeting new girls and going on the first couple of dates. The first of everything is always the most memorable, that's what I enjoy. The girls in the past are exactly that. I wouldn't worry too much about her or any of the girls that might not work out in the long run.

If you want short term, then it doesn't take much to find those types of girls. The ones you want to keep are the toughest to find. My advice - continue to work out, hit the books at school hard and when you least expect it you will meet someone that will blow your mind.

[ Q ] Very nice. You are a great example for millions out there who want to cut of body fat and gain some muscle, and most of all everybody can see what the word DEDICATION really means!

A: Yeah, there are millions of people out there that need a little kick in the ass. Those people need to get inspired to get up every morning with determination - you have to if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction!

To build muscle and lose body fat I believe you need to find your calories needed each day and make sure you're not going greatly under or over & keep weight training heavy so that muscle is stimulated to grow. If you do not force muscle to grow by lifting heavy and intense, it will not grow.

[ Q ] Amazing! Truly nice work! What a massive turn around, it really goes to show what determination and persistence can achieve instead of making excuses. How big do you want to get?

A: I'm very happy with the way I look right now. I know there are many parts to my body I can gain size too, but honestly I love the fact that I'm neither small nor huge. I can walk into a room and have the confidence that people respect my size, but I'm humble enough to know that I'm not always the "largest" person in there and that's perfectly fine with me.

One of the reasons I stay pretty lean is because the girls I date tell me they prefer the "leaner/muscular" build. My goal is too continually build muscle and grow, but none of this muscle stuff comes FAST - take "fast" out of your bodybuilding jargon.

Replace it with perseverance, endurance and patience and don't think of building your chest apart from building the rest of your body -

Training the entire body with chest (for example) as your favorite muscle group won't assure symmetry and greater overall systemic muscle growth...
