Ingredients:
Filling:
Crust:
Directions: Take the apples (I like Granny Smith and Fiji, but any will work), chop them up and cook them down on the stove. Add cinnamon during the process - gradually they will break down and soften, that's when you mash them to make applesauce. Add the oats into the pan with your applesauce and mix together. After that put the mixture into a non-stick cheesecake pan. bake in a 350-degree oven and for 10-15 minutes (depends on the texture you like for your crust, and how wet the oats are). Bring your cream cheese to room temp and blend it with the eggs, vanilla, and half of your Splenda. Try to get this to be as smooth and creamy as you possibly can so you don't have a crumbly cheesecake. Once the mixture is smooth add your pumpkin, the remainder of the Splenda, and other spices. Continue to blend until smooth again. Take your pan and add the filling. Shake it on your table for a minute or so just to get all the air bubbles out. Place in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until you can place a tooth pick in the center and pull it out without anything on it. Let it cool to room temp before you place it in the fridge. Nutrional Info:
Other Variants: Peaches 'n pears cheesecake: following the same process just cook down the fruit as if you were making peaches 'n pears "sauce." Before you place this mixture into the cream cheese filling let it sit to cool.
Ingredients:
Directions: Let your turkey thaw completely then place it on a cooking rack in a cooking sheet. Add some oil to the turkey by applying it either with a brush or rub it on then salt and pepper it. Place in a 350 degree oven and let it cook for approximately 2 hours or until your cooking thermometer is reading about the temp as the package suggests. In a bowl add jelly and mustard together to make your glaze. Take the turkey out of the oven and apply the glaze to half of it. Put it back in the oven that is now set at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or so. Take it out - flip it, and apply glaze to the other side. Put it back in the oven and leave it in for another 15 minutes or so. Check the temperature once more with a meat thermometer and make sure it is at the desired temp. remove it from the oven and leave it sit for 20-30 minutes. slice and serve.
Ingredients:
Directions: Dice up your apples and cook them on the stove till they cook down to make a mush, then mash them some to make a homemade applesauce. Add in the oats and cinnamon (depending on how thick it gets 1.5 may be enough but 2 cups may be necessary). Then spread it out in a cheesecake pan that is sprayed with nonstick Pam to form a circle. Cook in the oven for 10-15 minutes, depending n how crunchy or soft you want the crust. In the meantime, take some yogurt, cream cheese, and whey then mix them together. Then once the crust has cooled spread the sauce on top, then add the fruit of your choosing. I've recently been able to locate fat free Greek yogurt, which has the thick consistency of the yogurt, cream cheese, whey sauce I made. So that may be an easier, more viable option for the future.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Ingredients:
Directions: Put the mincemeat, water, and rum in a pan, and warm it until the suet in the mincemeat melted. Then add the oats and stir it all up until it is homogenous. Form it into a shape on the plate, and cook at around 190 degrees C, and a bit at 150. Can't remember how long it took, but just check it and get it out before any of the outside burns. I spread it pretty thin, about 1.5cm, so thicker might make it softer inside. When cooled, it was firm enough to cut and hold etc, but the inside was very soft still. I'm trying to cook twice this amount right now, all at 150C to see if that dries it out more. I also added a bit more rum. This is great that you don't need butter. I think butter is fine, but if you want to keep high-carb and high fat separate, then butter and oats isn't the best idea. Later I made a load with just bananas too. Basically the same proportions of ingredients (bananas in place of the mincemeat)
Ingredients:
Crust:
Directions: Well basically what I did was I mixed about 1.5 small tubs of quark with 4 oz of fat free Cream cheese, and about .5 cup of Splenda and some Torani syrup. Blend it with 3 egg whites, a little rum and vanilla extract and put that aside. Then for the crust, crushed a cup of all-bran/fiber one in the blender until a powder was made, spooned on a greased pan with some softened cream cheese until you have a crust. bake it for about 15 mins on 400. and then take it out. Add the filling bake that for about 1 hour at 375. Let cool in with the oven door open for an hour. Mix blueberries, some SF syrup or Splenda and the rest of the quark and use that as a topping for what you're going to take out of the oven. Chill for 3-5 hours in the fridge.
Ingredients:
Directions: Cook the Jennie-O in the microwave until it is ready. Mash your potatoes to the right consistency. Cut up the onions and zucchini into small pieces. Layer the plate so the vegetables are on the bottom and the meat is on top.
Ingredients:
Directions: This is a fun meal to surprise Louis after a hard workout when he needed a healthy ratio of protein and carbs. I thought it would be funny to mold his oatmeal into before and after people to amuse him a bit. This not only reminded him that food was more than just for taste, but it was also for aesthetic pleasure.
Nutrition Info: Total Calories - 60, give or take, depending on whether you have a sweet tooth. This is a great recipe for when you really feel like eating something sweet for dessert. And instead of reaching for the ice-cream I really recommend you try it. Ingredients:
Directions: Put egg whites and cream of tartar in large mixing bowl and beat on low until the eggs get foamy. Once the eggs are foamy add vanilla and Splenda and beat on medium for one minute. Once it starts to get fluffy, beat on high until the goop is thick and holds a shape. Put lumps of goop on cookie sheet with a regular spoon. Leave about 1/2 inch between each glob because they will expand when they cook. Bake at 300 F for about 10 minutes or until they get golden brown and crispy.
