Marc Lobliner's Gold's Classic Contest Prep & Lifestyle Juggling Act: 6 Weeks Out!

WOW, 2 weeks out! Since I am so ahead, I have decided to do the NPC Palmetto Cup on May 16 in Columbia, SC. Let's bring it! This and more as I continue with full prep for the Gold's Classic... Find video, pics and more right here.

Since I am so ahead, I have decided to do the NPC Palmetto Cup on May 16 in Columbia, SC in addition to the Gold's Classic in Wilmington, NC on June 13, 2009. Wow, 2 weeks out! This is more like 1 week out since I don't even count the last week.

Peak week, if you ain't there yet, you ain't gonna get there! 2 weeks? Let's bring it! I have added in HIIT cardio at 20 minutes post-workout:

  • Minutes 1-4: Warm-up
  • Intervals: 1 minute 9.0 sprint, 1 minute 3.6 recovery
  • Minutes 17-20: Cool down

This is to make sure I am ready! I will cut back when I reach my target condition. But the nasty is on the way!

I have oral surgery later today so let's hope I am okay after that! Basically, I have a genetic thing that is making my gum line move down, so to prevent ugliness, they are zapping it off. I am looking forward to the fun of oral surgery! After that, if I can, I get to do cardio and tan! Oral surgery and cardio. Can a day be worse?

Oh well. You only get one mouth, and the boys say I got a purty one! The sick thing is I will have a gaping hole for a few weeks behind my front lip that won't be visible unless I show people. The doc showed me pics, that sh!t is nasty! I guess it is okay since I am married, and it's not like married people make out!

So at 1:30 EST today, know that for that one moment at least, my life sucks worse than yours. Time to train and make gains!

    Post Surgery:

Just got done with my 30 minute oral surgery and it was odd. I asked why there was smoke and the doctor said, "Oh, that's just me burning off your ligament." That right there is some sick stuff!

I am going to be recovering for 6 weeks, but can eat normal. This supposedly looks nasty, so I aint even gonna look at it!

Triceps Pushdowns Superset Cable Curls

dot Thursday: April 30, 2009 dot

So yesterday I had oral surgery. This took half an hour and while still numb, did my cardio! This is, of course, a few hours after my morning training session. I did my full routine and did not miss a meal. 6 weeks out baby!

Yesterday was the carb meal and it filled me out well. I will do some cardio before Rob gets here as I answer emails from my valued overseas accounts and then slam hams!

My progress is exciting, and all I need to do is sharpen up the abs and my glutes and lower back. My legs are washed out from all the cardio, but man, when we cut back on cardio at 1 week out, they will separate, fill out, and look nasty!

My oral surgery sucks. While posing yesterday, it started oozing! Yuck! My wife was amazed to see the big @ss gap in the front of my mouth and everyone thought I was nuts for going straight to the gym and hitting cardio from the doctor's office. First, I was still numb and secondly, I have a show to dominate! Nothing will stop me.

I also had a late night with tons of work and sales, so good stuff. Mike and I also have some new product launches for Primaforce that will make your head spin. Blue Raspberry Xtend is about 3-4 weeks from being back!

    RELATED PRODUCT
    Xtend SciVation Presents:
    Xtend

Xtend is a precise, scientific blend of Energy Aminos consisting of the proven 2:1:1 ratio of Branched Chain Amino Acids (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine), Glutamine, Citrulline Malate, and Vitamin B6 that will give you the energy you need to maximize your training while enhancing recovery at the same time.

So we finally went to bed at 11:30 or so and then at 3:30, I awoke to close some UK business. Too much sleep for me! I want more company growth and I want more weight!

So today is another day of progress. Good luck to all of you in reaching your goals. Keep working hard and you will succeed. And even if you do not win or hit 100 percent of your goals, you still succeeded as a person.

Since I started my day so d@mn early this morning, I was able to squeeze in a half hour cardio session at around 12:30pm. I also of course did my 45 minutes of pre-workout and 30 minutes of post-workout cardio this morning. I am finishing off the day with 30 minutes of cardio and will then go work some more until it is time to play with the kids and put them to sleep.

All in all, a great day. My diet is on point as always and I am just cruising along. I feel really good and think that in 6 weeks, I will look good enough to crush everyone in my way. I will at least try my d@mn best to make it to that level!

Tomorrow is delts and traps with Big Rob. I really look forward to beating those bad boys up and burning fat while eliciting some gnarly growth in my entire body, especially my traps and shoulders.

My traps have come a long way, but so have my shoulders, so my trap improvements aren't as noticeable. But I have never seen anyone lose a show for having amazing delts! I want shredded, veiny, striated delts with a big, veiny trap on top. I also want rear delts that pop from all angles. That is the goal!

Lying Leg Curls

dot Friday: May 1, 2009 dot

6 mutha freakin weeks out. I woke up this morning with tight abs, tight quads and glutes and just an overall hard look . I feel d@mn good. I am getting leaner daily and things are starting to pop. My legs are filling back in from and my back is coming in fast. My waist is shrinking. Things are well.

Today, Rob and I have delts and traps. I have my pre-workout cardio now, then Rob and I have post-workout cardio. I have a busy sales day and I have tons going on. Also going to the chiropractor for the third time this week to adjust my travel weary back. It is already 100 percent better and today I will also get a massage. I will have my orthodics by next week. My outer foot is all jacked up and I am off balance. This should help me a ton.

It is time to start some corrective and preventative maintenance on my body just in case I decide to take this package to Junior Nationals next year! You only have one body and I am going to fix it now to avoid future bad issues. This is the same reason I had my mouth surgery. I just want to be healthy and pain free!

This weekend, my wife and I are doing a charity walk. That should be fun and rewarding. Then, if it doesn't rain, I would like to roll to the zoo.

Life is all good. Scivation is growing and I am ready to crush this show and take it all...and then rock a national level show. My sights are set on it, so nuthin to it but to do it!

    Front Plate Raise

dot Saturday: May 2, 2009 dot

Back day! I got up at 3:45am and did some work and now I am at the gym doing my pre-workout cardio before Rob gets here. I feel d@mn good! We finished up choreography on my posing routine last night and now it is just a matter of dialing it in and getting on stage and rocking it out!

Kami went potty on the toilet finally yesterday and is now wearing big girl underwear. Yes! She messed in her bed, but all is well. Diapers will be a thing of the past! That saves tons of cash!

After back day, Katie and I will be doing a charity walk benefiting research for a serious chronic disease and then we will move on and I am in full finish-line prep mode. This means copious cardio, tanning often, and posing.

This is fun to squeeze in between my 20 hours of work a day. But I am finding decent balance and all seems to be well. I feel great. In fact, I have never felt better. Sleep is at a low, but man I feel awesome.

Could it be because Katie is so hot? I think so! Time to etch in this stubborn @ss back!

    Lat Pulldown

dot Sunday: May 3, 2009 dot

Today is arm day! Rob takes Sunday off but in typical Lobliner fashion, in the couple of weeks leading into the show, I will sometimes forego an off day. This is one of those times. If I want to be peaked in two weeks, this must be done!

I will be hitting arms and cardio. Yesterday was insane! I worked out with Rob in the morning and we did back and crushed it. Pre-workout, I hit 45 minutes of cardio. Post-workout, I did 30 minutes of cardio. Then, my wife and I did a charity walk to raise money and walked for about an hour and a half.

Then, lawn mowing for two and a half hours. That's right, 4 hours and 45 minutes of total cardio! The thing is, it wasn't planned that way, but it just happened as a byproduct to living an active lifestyle with my family. My 3-year-old daughter walked the entire charity walk and even climbed up and down walla on the way.

I hate how kids just sit on their fat @sses and watch TV or play video games all day. We get our kids out and teach them that being active is fun and rewarding. Being overweight is an epidemic, and I will not contribute to the health care nightmare!

Sunday is a great day. We will have family time and just get some work done. This is also the day that I plan on taking a nice afternoon nap and somewhat recharging for the week if time allows, but we do have a lot to do. I might just nap in the tanning bed today while building a base color for my upcoming show.

My posing routine is dialed in! Now, I will just work on holding poses and transitions and I am ready to bring the house down. This is going to be epic. Again, for the next 2 weeks, keep an eye open. Things will get silly!

    Rope Pushdowns

dot Monday: May 4, 2009 dot

Today is a huge day. It is time to dial it in. In 2 weeks, on May 16, I will be stage ready guaranteed. Not just stage ready, but sick and shredded. I will have pics from post-carb meal and maybe from the workout today.

The goal now is to etch in the shreds and stay full and hard with oodles of vascularity. Cardio will be done in low intensity for at least two hours per day. I usually do cardio while on business calls or while answering emails on my Blackberry, so there isn't much difference between being at a desk and being on a treadmill, other than walking in place for a long period of time!

The weekend was good. Yesterday, Katie went and slammed a workout in the morning and I had already gone at 4am, so I was free. I took the kids to the park and to McDonalds PlayPlace. We never eat there and my kids never will, but that playplace is nice! They had a blast and slept great in the afternoon. Speaking of active recreation, here is my Sunday activity with kids list:

        4:00 AM - 7:00 AM:
        • 45 minutes of cardio pre-workout
        • Weights
        • Posing
        • 30 minutes of cardio post-workout

        8:30 AM:

        • Park with kids. Went up and down equipment, took Thomas down slides and chased Kami around.

        9:30 AM:

        • Playplace - chased Thomas around and played.

        1:00 PM:

        • 50 minutes of low intensity cardio

        4:00 PM:

        • 45 minute walk with family

See, being a fit, healthy family can be fun, rewarding and can instill work ethic and health in your children at a young age. What better way is there to bond with your kids!?

Today is chest day and will be filled with pre exhaust, drop sets, rest pause and nastiness! I am so excited that this is gametime! Bring it on baby! Showtime!

dot Tuesday: May 5, 2009 dot

Leg day! This one is going to hurt! My legs are putty from all of the cardio and today we are going to rock drop sets, burn sets and other etching techniques. So I will need to dig down deep and give it my all. 2 more leg days and it's time! I feel pretty d@mn good.

Yesterday, I did a ton of cardio and worked silly hours on only three hours of sleep the night before and got it done. Before bed, I ran through my posing routine and I have it down. I was pumped, full and hard even with a ton of cardio and low calories.
