Marc Lobliner's Bodybuilding Journey - Holiday Progress!

I will start doing a DAILY progress log and continue through April, 2009. This will have training, diet and lifestyle tidbits from inside of the life of me... Get those diet, supplementation details, and more right here!

Nationals, here I come! I have lost almost 20lbs since my bulk and am now sitting at 191 and at around 6% body fat! At the rate I am going, the Nationals are a must on my to-do list for 2008. I have never been so excited about training and life in general!

My daughter turns two on January 30, and my new son Thomas Harrison enters the world in late March. Life is good, training is good, diet is good, business is good, and most of all, my marriage is amazing and Katie is the best thing to ever happen to me. She is perfect!

    10 x 3 AFTER heavy sets AND KILLER LEG PRESS was off the chain! It is diet time and now I am on my quest to see how much LBM I REALLY gained.

    I have incorporated 10 x 3 into a new hybrid program and it seems to be working well. Experimentation is the key to constant gains!

    Chuck is an awesome guy! We trained HARDCORE in a HARDCORE gym and got it DONE! We were on fire and tossing weight around like Britney Spears tosses her panties off. It was an unreal session! We then ate and rolled out like Jay Z in a red Cadillac. I LOVE training with new people and Chuck is now one of my few real friends-he is an AWESOME guy and an inspiration to train with and know.

    And, Chuck is a huge freak as well. I respect huge freaks.

    I took cardio off today and probably will cut cardio out for a while. I have been very busy and I have time to train, but the 30-45 minutes of cardio is cutting into Kami and Katie time and THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

    I have been traveling for 3 of the last 4 weeks and I miss my baby. FAMILY FIRST! I miss Kambria and she needs Daddy time when I am not traveling. Thus, I will train and get huge and lean and cut calories a bit and NOT CHEAT AT ALL to make up for the lack of cardio. I would do anything for my baby, she is the best! I come home and she says, "Dadda beat me up!" I then throw her into the couch and tickle the heck out of her for a good 20-30 minutes. This is better than any cardio and I'd rather have a fat @ss and do this than miss out on this AMAZING child. I really do love her.

    I had to go to Wal Mart yesterday to buy more salmon packets for traveling and she pushed around the cart the whole time and did it for over an hour! She has a future in athletics with that fast twitch power.

    My wife is still amazing and she is the most beautiful pregnant person ever. When I am not traveling (I am in a hotel ALONE right now), I just sit and put my hand on her belly and feel our little boy Thomas Harrison kick the living hell out of my wife. I actually yelled at her stomach and told him to calm down and kick slower, because Scivation doesn't believe in HIIT while dieting and I know that Thomas is getting shredded and striated for the big contest in late March-when he pops out into my arms and into the world. We wouldn't want him to lose lean mass.

    I am in HOTLANTA and trained with my BOYS from Nutraplanet.com. Darren and I tore it up and I posted some SICK @SS DEADLIFT numbers! YEAH BUDDY! My back already hurts and my diet has been awesome! I love eating clean on the road.

    I miss my family a TON. I am in HOTLANTA until tomorrow and I will be home around 9pm tomorrow night. I then fly out at 6am to Dallas on Monday and am there until Thursday LATE at night. I then leave for CALI on Monday of the next week. The good news is that my training and diet are actually AMAZING! I feel good, look good, but I am starting to wear out a bit. I am looking forward to Christmas time and I will not have to travel again until the filming of Tri-Phase Part 3 on January 14.

    But don't get me wrong, this is still an awesome life.

    The last HOTlanta training session and I tore it up with Sam the man! We all got a h-llacious pump! Also, everyone agreed unanimously that Orange Xtend is the best flavor yet. I know it is hard to believe, but we did it!

    My next update will be from my hotel in Dallas. Until then, keep building LEAN MASS. YEAH BUDDY!

    I arrived at 8:30 am after a 6am flight and got situated, checked into the hotel, ate some packed chicken, almonds and green beans, and went to Gold's! It was a great session and I broke some PR's (since I powerlifted)! I felt awesome and strong!

    Diet is on point and I am eating as clean as someone can eat! I am actually getting leaner and being on point even while traveling like a maniac.

    Tomorrow, I have a couple meetings and then I am back in the gym slamming some chest. YEAH BUDDY!

    As for diet, I have frozen broccoli, green beans, chicken and pouch tuna. I also have Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide, peanut butter and Orange Xtend. Here is what I ate today while traveling:

    • Meal 1 (3am) Eggs
    • Meal 2 (7am) Tuna and almonds
    • Meal 3 (10am) Chicken, green beans, almonds
    • Meal 4 (PW, 1pm) Chicken Fajita Omelet and 8 egg whites (CLEAN)
    • Meal 5 (3:30pm) Chicken, green beans, almonds
    • Meal 6 (6:30pm) Chicken and lettuce only salad, Salmon and Veggies from Chiles (CLEAN)
    • Meal 7 (10pm) Ultra Peptide, Peanut Butter, Broccoli

    This is how the Machine stays LEAN on the road.

    Diet is ON POINT. The Machine is dialed in and ready to kick some national a$$ My meetings went very well and today we got to launch and ship BERRY Vasocharge!

    What a wonderful day. Tomorrow, it is time to MURDER some back with my buddy Mike Bell (nattybber) in his awesome home gym. We will film some of it and take some pics of us getting our swole on.

    Chest today was amazing and I am still cramping up. I have veins on my veins on my chest. I love this stuff!

    As for sleep, I have decided that I am done with this four hour stuff. I will now get eight hours a night (when Kami lets me). I have restructured my schedule to make this happen. We will see how long it lasts. HAHA.

    My diet is very nice and I had some awesome meetings. From a business standpoint, my Texas trip receives an A+. But no one wants to hear about this traveling salesman, y'all want to hear about some training!

    Mike Bell and I tore it up. I also had some new pics taken and am happy with my new back width. It is getting exciting here!

    This trip gets an A+ on diet. I am getting super lean again and look to have the same condition at 202 as I did at 180 last year! YES! National time baby!

    I trained as soon as I landed yesterday because I read an email on my Blackberry from a distributor that pissed me off and I had to blow off some steam before replying. Or else I would have unleashed the Xtend-Rage. I crushed shoulders and then worked out of my home office. I then played Mr. Mom from 6:30pm on because Katie went to a MILF Association meeting (just kidding, just some Mom's chillin' and grubbing. Grubbing? Yes, they are all pregnant. Them chicks can eat!).

    Tonight, Ron G aka the Asian Disaster and his brother Kevin, both members of the NC Chapter of Team Scivation, are coming down to shoot a hardcore training video at 7pm. We will be slamming deadlifts and some hammies. It will be super intense because these guys are in it to win it! Both are National level bodybuilders and both are jacked. We will be sure to crush it for the homies and pour out a little Xtend for the homies that have passed away.

    Diet is on point! On Saturday night, Ron and Kevin's family is having a sushi-fest, and you know the Machine is a chop stick Machine. I will rock out sushi as a clean carb up. Ahh, h*ll with it. It is time to get my grub on. YEAH BUDDY!

    Friday night was amazing! Ron's mom cooked up some sashimi, sukiyaki and gyozas; we got our grub on! I didn't eat much rice or carbs, but ate enough sukiyaki (beef) to fill up about ten of me! It was awesome and we all had a great time.

    Kevin, Ron and I killed deadlifts Friday night and then came back and KILLED arms the next day. If we train together even once a month we will be ENORMOUS! Did I mention these freaks are national level NPC bodybuilders as well.

    The deadlift video should be up today or tomorrow!

    Another killer session at Gold's Venice! I mixed it up and hit chest for the second time this week. I might switch it up and do seven days a week and instinctive training for a little bit to see what happens, but am unsure. I will see how I do this week and take it from there. The body is not a textbook and it is VERY smart and will adapt easily. Now might be a good time to throw it a curveball!

    I am excited to come home tomorrow night and start next week fresh. Orange Xtend is now out there and Scivation is on fire. Keep your eyes open for more cool things from Scivation!

  • Leg Press
    A ton of sets up to 10 plates per side and KILLING it with Leg Press KILLERS with 3 plates!
  • Hack Squat
    A ton of sets up to 5 plates per side
  • Leg Extension
    4 sets or so of 15 or whenever I couldn't move
  • Calves - 5 or so sets
  • Cardio - SPRINTS?!
  • Just throwing my body a curveball! I did 25 minutes with 1.5 minute recovery and 30 second sprint. I will do these until I feel like not doing them anymore.

    Legs are gone. I just kept going. It was nasty. Leg veins were popping like never before and I almost had to limp out of there. I decided to sprint PWO (Yes, I know we DO NOT recommend that), just to do it. Man, it felt pretty good!

    My diet has been awesome and I cannot wait to weigh in this week. I am sure I have made great progress and I look much leaner. 5% here I come... again!

    It feels good to be home! I got in, worked, trained, and am working some more! It is SO GOOD to be home!

    Thursday, Ernie, IFBB PRO Henderson Gordon and I crush chest and biceps. YEAH BUDDY!

    I am looking forward to Christmas week and the extra TIME I will have with Kami and my beautiful wife. Last night, I was SO JETLAGGED after a redeye with no sleep and a day of work, I could only baby-body slam Kami for 20 or so minutes and then I had to sleep a bit on the couch. I then woke up, gave Kami her bath, and got more work done. I am now fully rested and back to 95%.

    I weighed 195 this morning and my abs are deeply etched and IN. 5 more lbs and 5% is all mine! I am loving this!


I Will NEVER Be This Fat Again!!!!

    BIG ERN, Henderson Gordon (IFBB PRO), and yours truly KILLED it. Man, this was one of the most intense workouts ever with no BS'ing and no rest and tons of weight thrown around. These guys are the real DEAL!

    I would also like to welcome Henderson to Team Scivation. He is representin' the local NC chapter of the crew and is our first IFBB Pro on the team. YEAH BUDDY!

    My diet has been FLAWLESS with no cheats for the last three or so weeks and I am leaning out by the hour.

    We did an impromptu video filming and it was awesome! we all tore it up and got some sick weights. We trained for damn near two hours and it was all-out hardcore training.

    Tomorrow, we will be mixing up Xtend slushies and The RUSH 24/7 (new gym) grand opening in Greensboro from 12-4. Before that, we will crush some legs.

    Legs at the Rush Gym on Wendover in Greensboro with Team Scivation athletes THE Asian Disaster Ron G., Kevin "Sparkplug" G., and NEW Team Scivation athlete Jonny McKnight. We did a TON of volume and I will post some highlights.

  • Leg Extension - 3 sets
  • Leg Press
    Up to 10 plates x 12 and we also did a KILLER leg press set. 6 or so sets
  • Hack Squat - 6 sets with up to 4 plates for 20 reps
  • DB Lunges - 3 sets with up to 60lbs
  • Calves - 3 sets
  • Cardio
    60 minutes AM cardio on MT stomach with Dialene 4 and Xtend in my belly at speed 3.6 and incline zero.

    This was the hardest leg workout ever! We all limped out of the gym. It was quite a contrast from our last workout at the dungeon due to the non-hardcore atmosphere, but it was amazing!

    The team is dialed in and ready to do some damage in 2008. Our new training video should be up today!

    Christmas eve is never correct without Deadlifts! What a workout! It was super intense and things are going awesome. I cannot believe the progress being made!

    As for family, we had Caesar salad, chicken cutlets and latkes for dinner with homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches. I cooked up a storm. We had my business partner Howard over for dinner and it was a h-lluva time!

    Jason earned my respect. All of this volume and he walked out of the gym, although it was more of a limp. We did not stop and pushed it to the limit. This will go down as one of the CRAZIEST sessions I have ever done.

    I am even more cut and veiny now. I cannot wait until my next bulk cycle! I think I will start around February depending on if I am lean enough IMO or not.

    Today was the anniversary of my father's death 2 years ago. This workout and Scivation helped get me through it. The fact that he died of complications from health problems brought on by an unhealthy lifestyle brings everything that I do for a living into perspective even more.

    We promote HEALTHY diets that help to prevent many health problems. This is why I am so excited about the books and the programs we promote. Well, that and the fact that while being HEALTHY, you can also forge a DAMN GOOD body!

    Chest was good and I took a new pic at 192. Here he is!

I did not write down my workout on Friday but here is the video of it! We filmed most of it other than leg curls. We did a LOT of sets, but I edited the boring part out! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Great workout. My wife and I ate pizza last night to celebrate the new year and because PIZZA IS YUMMY and I controlled myself and had only four square pieces in place of meal five. I lost a pound the next day, ha-ha!

    I am looking forward to legs on new years day at 7:30pm. 2008 = NATIONALS! YEAH BUDDY! I have 11 months to bring it in! Starting 16 weeks out, the hardcore PREP begins!

This leg workout was tough and I almost lost my dinner! We tore it up and rang in the new year with what is hopefully a WONDERFUL beginning to my quest to do well at Nationals! I am stoked and my diet is so dialed in it is ridiculous.

Check this out on low carb diets and performance. IMO, this demonstrates that the body will function optimally on fats and NO carbs if you give it time to adapt! YES!
