Marc Lobliner's Bodybuilding Journey - Contest Prep: 2 Weeks In!

The diet is going great and I am starting to get veins popping out on my chest and a better sweep on my hamstrings. See my progression below as I continue to prepare for competition.

If I showed you an ad right now that said that the President of Scivation gained three pounds and lost body fat, you would tell me that it is a marketing hoax to sell more supplements, wouldn't you? Well, this is why a series such as this is beneficial to not only keeping it real, but to validate the claims - pictures don't lie.

I am 190 pounds right now -- up from 187 in the last installment. My veins in my chest are more prominent and my hamstring has much more sweep to it. Training with my wife has been awesome and that could very well be a contributing factor to my gains.

Diet

My diet has undergone some small calorie cuts. We left the carb meal the same, but reduced some of my fat intake throughout the day to do a nice, slow, gradual cut since we have ample time.

Here Is The Updated Diet:

    Workout Nutrition = 2 scoops Substance WPI with 10 scoops Xtend in 20-24 oz cold water

    Meal 1

    • 6 egg whites
    • 1 whole egg
    • 2 oz grilled chicken
    • 2/3 cup steamed spinach
    • 4 tsp peanut butter or 12 almonds
    • 6.5 oz PEELED ruby red grapefruit - Splenda packets can be used to sweeten if desired
    • 42g protein, 15g fat, 20g carbs

    Meal 2

    • 2 scoop SUBSTANCE Protein Powder + 10g Glutamine
    • 4 tsp peanut butter or 12 almonds
    • 1/2 cup steamed Broccoli or asparagus or green beans or 2/3 cup spinach
    • 44g protein, 10g fat, 5g carbs

    Meal 3

    • 6 oz Chicken or halibut or Sirloin fillet or Tuna (albacore packed/canned in water) or LEAN turkey breast
    • 1/2 cup steamed asparagus or green beans or 2/3 cup spinach
    • 2 tbsp peanut butter or 18 almonds
    • 42g protein, 15g fat, 5g carbs

      Meal 4

    • 6 oz Chicken or halibut/tilapia or Sirloin fillet or Tuna (albacore packed/canned in water) or LEAN turkey breast
    • 1 cup steamed Broccoli or asparagus or green beans or 1.33 cup spinach
    • 4 tsp peanut butter or 12 almonds or 2 oz avocado
    • 42g protein, 10g fat, 10g carbs

    Meal 5

    • 2 scoop SUBSTANCE Protein Powder + 10g Glutamine
    • 2 tbsp peanut butter or 18 almonds
    • 6.5 oz PEELED ruby red grapefruit - Splenda packets can be used to sweeten if desired
    • 44g protein, 15g fat, 15g carbs

    Meal 6

    • 6 egg whites
    • 3 oz Chicken or halibut/tilapia or Sirloin fillet
    • 1.33 cup steamed spinach
    • 2 oz avocado + 1/4 salsa
    • 42g protein, 10g fat, 10g carbs

      Protein - 300g = 1200 Cals
      Carbs (not including Carb night) - 65g = 260 Cals
      Fat - 75g = 675 Cal

    Total Cals - 2135 Cals NON-carb night - 1837cals (minus meal 6)
    Total Cals - 2827 - Carb nights

18th Meal:

    Every 18th meal is carb meal. LAST MEAL and it replaces Meal 6. MUST BE eaten in this order and make it LAST 60-75 minutes - TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

    1. 1.5 cup fresh cut green beans in water = 15g carbs
    2. 3/4 cup oatmeal (measured dry then add water and microwave) = 45g carbs
      13 oz PEELED ruby red grapefruit - Splenda packets can be used to sweeten if desired = 30g carbs
      4-6 packets Splenda for sweetening
      18 almonds = 15g fat
    3. 12 oz yam or sweet potato = 90g carbs
      2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter = 15g fat
      4-6 packets Splenda for sweetening
    4. Carbs = 180g = 720 Cals
      Fat = 30g = 270 Cals

I am never hungry with the diet I am on. In fact, my wife can almost never finish an entire meal, and that girl can eat! I have also switched all of my vegetable servings to spinach and am loving it. Broccoli used to give me the worst gas and regularity issues. With spinach, I feel great and the GI tract is humming along smoothly!

Training Update

Training this week was 12 reps and will move to 15 reps next week. The training program I am doing is straight out of Game Over and we are on week 3 next week-15 rep sets! It should be tons of fun! The next volume will be available shortly at Bodybuilding.com!

Supplement Update

Supplement wise, I will start full dosing of Dialene 4 next week! I cannot wait to see what this will do for both my energy and focus as well as my fat loss. I have been taking it, but not the full dose. All of us are very excited at the potential results that this breakthrough in fat burning will produce.
