The Biggest Comeback Ever!
Quincy Taylor has been on the Pro scene for a while. He has even been featured in hit movies such as Planet of the Apes and Be Cool. In fact, at 6'4" and over 300 pounds, he is probably the bodybuilder who gets the most stares in public. On top of that, he is known not only for his immense size, but his tiny waist and amazing symmetry. Then why wasn't he a contender in the Mr. Olympia?
On March 15, 2005, Quincy Taylor signed with commonly-owned SciVation and PrimaForce with plans to make his comeback at the Europa Super Show in Arlington, TX on September 16, 2005 and the Charlotte Pro in Charlotte, NC on September 30, 2005. He was determined to qualify for the Olympia. This was Quincy's year!
As a Certified Personal Trainer with immense training experience, Quincy had that part covered. What he needed was the missing pieces and also perhaps the most important elements to the bodybuilding puzzle, proper diet and supplementation.

Quincy immediately got to work with SciVation/PrimaForce Director of Research and Development, Chuck "The Ripper" Rudolph, who is known as one of the best "diet-gurus" the industry has to offer.

SciVation/PrimaForce Director of R&D.
Chuck engineered a flawless diet for gaining lean mass and dropping bodyfat. Chuck also put Quincy on a supplement regiment that included PrimaForce and SciVation products, known for their unbeatable efficacy, quality and purity. With all the bases covered, we knew Quincy would have a chance to realize his dream and step on the Olympia stage with the top bodybuilders in the world.

The Diet
You're probably thinking, "Man, I'd love to see what a 310lb bodybuilder eats precontest." Well, to break it down, he ate a whopping 9,500 calories the first two months leading into the Europa Super Show, and 7,500 calories the 3rd and 4th months.
The last two months he used a unique, scientific low carb diet engineered by Rudolph that consisted of a low carb day that looked like this:
485g Protein
200g Carbs
175g Fat
Total |
= 1,940 Calories
= 800 Calories
= 1,575 Calories
= 4,315 Calories |
And a high carb day that look like this:
485g Protein
400g Carbs
175g Fat
Total |
= 1,940 Calories
= 1,600 Calories
= 1,575 Calories
= 5,115 Calories |
This type of diet has been overwhelmingly successful for many bodybuilders, athletes and physique enthusiasts. Quincy was quoted as saying before the Europa Super Show where he qualified for the Olympia,
"Man, I have never felt this good during a show. This diet and these supplements have me feeling awesome even at 3% bodyfat!"
Keep in mind, this diet was made specifically for Quincy Taylor. Although Chuck uses similar methods in most of his diets, this diet may not be optimal for everyone. Supplementation
Throughout the contest-prep, Quincy relied on the SciVation Total Workout StackTM prior to weight training (dosages vary based on weight, training frequency and other factors, but below is what Quincy used):
SciVation Total Workout StackTM
Immediately Post Workout:
- 3 capsules SciVation NOxidant
Prior To Cardio:
Team SciVation also recommends the following supplements prior to a cardio session (30-45 minutes, low intensity (40%-50% VO2 Max)):
- PrimaForce Glutaform - 15g
- PrimaForce Durablast - 6 caps
- SciVation Xtend - 15 scoops
- Substance WPI-1 scoop - mixed with Xtend - drink 1/3 before, sip on 1/3 during cardio and finish the last 1/3 after cardio
- PrimaForce Yohimbine HCl - 2 caps

Training
Quincy made it happen! Through his experience working with legends such as Charles Glass and Albert Beckles, Quincy knows his stuff! His back, once considered his "weak part," is now right up there with the best in the sport.
"I do a lot of pull-ups but because of my tall frame, I cannot do deadlifts," says Quincy.
You will also notice Quincy does lower back and abs before every workout. This is why we see amazing railroad tie-like cuts in his lower back and also as a man standing 6'4" tall, he needs to keep this area strong! Here is a typical split for Quincy:
