HOk boys and girls, I'm back again for my two week update. For my topic this week I have decided to give a review of a few of the supplements I have been using during my contest preparation.

LipoDerm Ultra is the updated suped-up version of LipoDerm-Y from Avant Labs. Whereas LipoDerm-Y contained only Yohimbine HCl as the active ingredient, LipoDerm Ultra contains Yohimbine HCL, caffeine, Octopamine HCl, Sesamin, Synephrine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Ascorbyl Palmitate, and Lecithin.

LipoDerm Ultra's purpose is to enhance lipolysis in the specific area of application. To understand the mechanisms by which LipoDerm Ultra is supposed to enhance lipolysis in the area of application please read the LipoDerm Ultra write-up here.

Now I liked the original LipoDerm Ultra all right but I was still somewhat skeptical as to whether or not LipoDerm Ultra would be as effective as the claims stated. I must say that I think this is quite possibly the most effective supplement I have ever used so far as fat loss goes.

Normally I have quite a bit of trouble losing fat from my waist, but I couldn't believe the results I got on LipoDerm Ultra.

6 squirts per day on the abdominal and oblique area.

In 3.5 weeks I lost 1.2mm off my waist skinfold, and almost a full inch (0.95") off my waist, while losing only a total of six pounds. During my previous contest prep I needed to lose 15 lbs before I lost an inch off my waist. This definitely indicates that fat loss was accelerated in the area of application.

The only downsides to this product is that it tends to gum up and you really have to work the bottle to get some out sometimes and the fact that isn't very viscous and tends to run easily. The smell is also less than pleasant but nothing too severe.

Body Octane is a new product from MAN, containing Citrulline Malate, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Beta-Alanine, and Histidine.

Body Octane is designed to increase power, stamina, and reduce muscle fatigue.

The write-up explaining how Body Octane is supposed to work can be found here.

On training days I consumed 8g upon awakening and 8g half an hour before training.

The results were somewhat subtle, however this may be attributed at least in part to the fact that I have been dieting for 12 weeks and I am somewhat lethargic. However, even on days when I felt extremely lethargic, I found that I was able to maintain my strength in the gym.

It was as if I was able to reach down for a little extra something during my workout. I did not lose any strength during the time I used Body Octane and even gained strength on some lifts, which might certainly be a credit to this product.

My vascularity also increased while using this product, however I think that is probably more so due to a reduction in bodyfat from dieting. In addition, this product tastes very good and I looked foreword to drinking it every day.

The big downside to this product is its price. To read other tester reviews on the bodybuilding.com forums please go here.

Right now I am testing two more products from Avant Labs; Leptigen and Sesathin and I will provide feedback on these supplements in my next article, as I would like more time to test them before I pass judgment on them. I must say that after supplementing with Sesathin for two weeks, I am VERY impressed.

You must lift with attitude!

With that out of the way let's get down to the nitty-gritty.
