How people avoid scratches at legs doing sumo dead lift? The right way of doing the movement requires the bar going along the legs and very often it scratches legs below knees very badly

I like all of the selected exercises; they're perfect for ladies.
Now if I can just get my sister to do them. I know she was looking more for dumbbell exercises, but I guess she's just going to have to "man" up lol. Thanks for the list!

I love 1, 2, & 4... 3 is something I have been working up to and Im going to try 5 next week now that I was able to watch the how to video. Have you ever seen the crossfit women do the hang snatches? Its bad ***!

How many days per week and reps do you recommend as part of a fat loss program? I want to loose fat while building muscle, though

I've been taking the lighter approach to some of these. This article has given the the push I've been needing. I sent it to my trainer so we can work on proper technique. Thanks for the great info and inspiration!

I do them all except the snatch.I have just been lifting since April and don't feel confident enough to put that much weight over my head.

Pretty sure the gf is doing versions of 1 through 4, but I'm pretty sure there's gonna be an issue if you ask her to do a hang snatch. I'm pretty sure that would somehow be my fault too. :-) Maybe you shouldn't recommend that for beginners.

I just got a personal trainer and he has me lift or pull weights every workout. I'm gasping for air during the lifting, squats, planks, and lunges. I have a long way to go, but glad I finally started.

No way in hell I'm doing #5, and probably not #4 either. Bad for the shoulders.

For sure the hang snatch is one of the most difficult exercises for me to learn and perfect with great form. So much technique.

Most of this exercise I do once a week, and it really does help me to retain strength when it comes to heavy lifting. Please ensure your form and try to start with light weight. Form is always important than lifting heavy and after all it will avoid you from getting injury. :)

Best wishes!

I have always done no. 1, 2, 4,and 5! I love Olympic lifts, if you are unable to do #5 I would start with a basic clean (low weight) and move up from there.

I know a lot of men out there that can do with this advice... whether you're a man or women make sure you get an instructor to show you the correct form
