| What Is A Podcast?
Podcasting is a collection of technologies for automatically distributing audio and video programs over the Internet via a publish and subscribe model.
Podcasting enables independent producers to create self-published, syndicated "radio shows," while giving broadcast radio or television producers a new distribution method.
In this interview, Dan talks with natural bodybuilder and bodybuilding contest promoter Jack Kunkel. Jack has made tremendous progress during the past decade, gaining about over 35 pounds of lean body mass, but recently hit a plateau.
| What Is A Plateau?
A level of attainment or achievement in weight loss or bodybuilding where one gets "stuck in a rut", barring further progress or noticable results. As obvious as it may seem, if you continue to do the same thing, you will continue to get the same results. Click here for tips on breaking through plateaus.
So around May 2006, Jack contacted Dan Gastelu to evaluate his training, nutrition, and supplementation program to see if there was any opportunity for some fine-tuning to get more muscle, and to keep it during contest prep. Dan made a promise to get Jack fast results, and he experienced significant progress within 3 weeks!
Jack Kunkel, Natural
Bodybuilder & Judge.
Jack talks about some of the modifications made to his training, nutrition, and supplement program and the results he is getting.
Jack and Dan also review some important insights about contest preparation, staying in the anabolic training zone, and how to modulate your nutrition program to get the fat burning to lose fat, but not lose muscle.
| What Does Anabolic Mean?
Anabolic refers to the metabolic process that is characterized by molecular growth, such as the increase of muscle mass. Thus, it means "muscle-building" in most common bodybuilding contexts.
In particular, the delicate balance of meal frequency and insulin levels and adjusting this for maximum muscle building or optimum fat loss for contest preparation. They also discuss how your previous non-bodybuilding, athletic training imprints your muscle physiology and gene expression and may limit muscle growth - and what to do about it.
They also cover the importance of data tracking, analysis, evaluation, and team work for best results. Learn what it takes to reach the next level by discovering your own metabolic insights and what works best for you. Also included are some of Jack's competition inside tips from his experience being a natural bodybuilding competitor and judge.
