Background

I have always had a passion for fitness and creating a healthy & active lifestyle. I was active in dance throughout my childhood and attended the Houston Academy of Dance for several years. After receiving news that I would never flourish as a ballerina because my leg muscles would not develop the strength needed because of a naturally high arch, I dropped out and pursued casual dance on my high school brigade team. It was not until after college that I was introduced to weight training. Out of boredom, I joined the local gym and began training with a personal trainer and was pleased to see my ability to add muscle. This spurred my enthusiasm and I discovered my passion for fitness and nutrition. I continued training consistently without a goal in mind and in 2002 decided to pursue competitive fitness.

Having just moved from San Francisco to Walnut Creek, California, I joined a local gym there and began trying to find my way in the fitness world. Having just moved from San Francisco to Walnut Creek, California, I joined a local gym there and began trying to find my way in the fitness world. Team Universe champion, Skip La Cour trained in the same gym and we struck up a friendship. He has since been my coach, friend and an awesome source of inspiration.

In September of 2002 I competed in my first show and placed first in both the fitness and figure categories and qualified to compete on the National level! As I continue in my own fitness endeavors I want to help others to reach their fitness & nutrition goals.

It is my sincere hope that you will find this site to be a great forum for you to gain information and have access to my services and products so that you too can achieve your goals. I am currently training for several competitions and you can follow along with me in my current training journal. I will also be happy to talk with you about your specific fitness goals and give you any advice that I can.
