[ Q ] How does it feel being constantly recognized now that you are famous from         being on the Biggest Loser?

    The Biggest Loser T.V. Show Logo[ A ] It has its plus’s and negatives. It’s definitely fun when someone comes up to you and says "Oh my god, you’re the trainer in the Biggest Loser, we love you", but its just as rewarding when someone comes up and says "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for showing me how to do a one armed push-up in that magazine article."

    So, I have had some form of recognition for sometime. The minus part of it that I don’t like is when you just want to go out and have a cheeseburger and French fries and there is someone at the next table who recognizes you. It seems that because I’m a well known trainer I’m not supposed to be eating those foods. So that’s the only negative!

[ Q ] Will you ever compete again? (Kim is an IFBB Pro Fitness athlete)

    [ A ] It definitely crosses my mind every once in a while because I feel it was a goal I hadn’t quite reached yet. I wanted to compete at the Arnold and I almost made it to the Olympia but when I changed paths and went onto to star in the biggest loser, it felt that was a goal that I never obtained.

[ Q ] Do you follow any other sports?

    Football[ A ] No, when my parents are in town they will always have the football on and I totally feel left out of the group. When I was in college I used to be a football guru but now I don’t follow it at all.

[ Q ] What are your future plans?
dotted line

    [ A ] I have decided that I am not going to make anymore future plans because when I do, something else comes up. It’s the nature of the business and there is so many things going on at the same time. There is going to be my own equipment line, my own supplement line, I have my books that are coming out in January, they will be in Barnes n Noble front and center so that will be taking up a big part of my future.

[ Q ] Are there any celebrities that you don’t like?

    [ A ] Sorry America but I’ve got to say it, I would like to put Brittany Spears in a space shuttle and put her on the moon for about two years. I don’t know if I want to train that girl or if I want to hit her, or send her to the moon but Brittany Spears need help - somebody do something.

[ Q ] What do you have to put up with being married to a Pro Bodybuilder like         Gunter Schlierkamp?

    [ A ] He’s like a baby bird always running around the house with his mouth open - he’s always hungry, so yeah, I feed him a lot. Other than that we aren’t much different. On a Friday night we will be sitting on the couch drinking a protein shake, we will look at each other and laugh because the rest of the world is out at a bar with a beer, so I think we are a good match.

[ Q ] Are there any secrets or tips you can reveal to people who want to gain         celebrity status?

    [ A ] Be yourself, don’t be scared and don’t compromise your morals and your beliefs. There are so many people that make promises but so little of them deliver, and people tend to do things that they don’t feel is right but yet they do them because someone has made a promise. That is something I never did and I think people can learn a lot from that.

[ Q ] What supplements do you take and are they the same as you recommend to         your clients?

    [ A ] I take a multivitamin and I take juice plus which is a supplement I take to fill the void of fruits and vegetables, and I take the Weider protein shakes. That’s about it, I don’t like to make it complicated but if I feel I’m missing something I will throw in an extra vitamin B if I am feeling that I am lacking in energy, but on a consistent basis I’m pretty bad.

    For my clients, I recommend depending on their lifestyle at least a multivitamin and protein shakes, I feel those are two really important staples.

[ Q ] Is there anybody on the biggest loser that you don’t like?

    [ A ] That can really go from day to day. As you know its reality T.V. and sometimes the producer will like to throw something in there like 3,000 cup cakes in the middle of the living room, so on that particular day it’s the producers.

[ Q ] Can you describe your current exercise program?
dotted line

    [ A ] My program is all over the map - I do everything. I get bored very quickly so I like to do different things all the time. I will go to the gym, I will be out rollerblading, I will be jumping in the ocean, I’ll be running up and down the stairs and in the sand dune parks, you name it, I’m doing it. I love extreme sports but what I think is so important to me is having a complete variety.

[ Q ] Is there anything unorthodox about your training?

    [ A ] I don’t know if you would call it unorthodox but I have been using the Flexsolate straps which are totally grip free. I am really getting into this whole concept of that you don’t have to burn out all the smaller muscles with grip free technology to isolate a muscle. I think the Flexsolate straps are really cool so I have been incorporating them a lot with my own training and I always use them when training my clients.

[ Q ] What’s in your gym bag?

    [ A ] My gym bag is a train wreck. Normally there is a rotten protein shake container I forgot to wash out. Lip gloss is always an essential, a couple of pairs of socks; I will normally have a couple of sets of underwear in there too.

[ Q ] What’s under your bed?
dotted line

    [ A ] 1000’s of pairs of shoes. I’m a shoes freak and I can’t get rid of them. I have loads of sliding containers full of them under there.

[ Q ] Do you have any weird habits or fetishes?
dotted line

    [ A ] I don’t know if it’s weird but whenever I get mad or stressed I either clean or I cook, so if Gunter comes home sometimes he finds loads of baked oatmeal muffins all over the place, which is also spotless.

[ Q ] Do you prepare your own meals and Gunter’s?
dotted line

    [ A ] I do prepare some meals but nothing fancy. I used to be like Betty Crocker meets Martha Stewart but now it’s normally chicken breast on the George Foreman. I and Gunter normally do breakfast together and I will do dinner but during the day he’s on his own because I am normally pretty busy.

[ Q ] What’s in your shopping trolley?

    [ A ] I like fruit and I love apples so there are always lots of them in there. I like tuna, so I stack the tuna cans along with fresh vegetables. I eat like a fitness freak so there isn’t really anything exciting in my shopping bag.

[ Q ] I heard that you were invited to be best buddies with Arnold Schwarzenegger.         Could you tell me a little about that?

    [ A ] We did a best buddies bike ride with him. It’s a charity organization which helps children in need and we were riding along with Arnold and Maria and their kids which was fun.

    Arnold has always been an inspiration, he is like Gunter and I in the respect of making goals - when he makes it, you better get the hell out of the way because it’s going to be achieved. He invited Gunter and I to his office last year which was great to have undivided time with him.
