The saying goes - "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." This statement holds true to Marcus Haley whose road to the Arnold thus far has been as bumpy as the protruding terrain seen on Johnnie Jackson's thickly nestled back.

"At the dawn of my preparation the mother of my child decided to up and leave to Africa with my little girl," Haley told Bodybuilding.com. "There was no prior warning and I feared that I wouldn't see her again.
"The mother is severe bipolar and in turn this has been very hard on my daughter. It's hard for someone of 10 years of age to understand why a mother can be so loving one minute but then avenge a temper the next.
"Fortunately for me she returned back to the US which has fed me even more motivation to bring a bodybuilder to the Arnold Classic table that will be too much muscle for the other guys to swallow. I plan to be in the money to provide a better life for my family."

Up until last week Marcus has been the training partner of the reining A.C. champion - Dexter Jackson and as a result has put on 10 lbs of solid sinew on board his already heavily abundant frame.

"I am fuller, tighter, and bigger and have trained my abs throughout the off season which has really brought my waist in. I have stopped training with Dexter for the time being but hope to reunite for the last four weeks prior to the show to magnify my abilities."

Just when we thought Haley's contest prep was as obviously challenged as Donald Trumps toupee, he has informed Bodybuilding.com that he has been moving from Jacksonville, Florida to Clearwater near Tampa. Marcus has purchased a Condo in the beautiful Tampa district which is why his partnership with the 'Blade' has been temporarily suspended.
