Days 22-28:

Okay, well, that was week 4 of the AST Challenge and probably so far my least favourite week of training. Basically, it was our active recovery week - this is a week where the body gets to recover some of its overall energy that we have been using constantly over the last three weeks of hard training.
It also gives any little injuries that we have time to recover a bit more than if we trained high intensity constantly throughout the whole challenge.
This is helping me greatly with the biceps tear I have on my left arm that is healing well, but needs this extra help to recover faster in the long run. This has also been recommended by my physiotherapist to aid the healing process.

But, anyway, the training was basically one-rep training and I found that it was hard to keep the motivation up, and the intensity was not really there for me to get excited about - but in the long run, this sort of training is as necessary as all the other types of training and has its place in our overall plan for the AST Challenge.
The pills went up as well in number, I am now on 17 on a training day and 10 on a non-training day, but this isn't to bad as I am now so used to the diet plan now its almost second nature.
But this week is now over and its been hard in its own way. The training was over too quick for us to really feel like we made a difference, but its only one week out of the challenge and just as important as all the rest.

Active recovery... easy way to explain this one, guys = Rest!!
One of the most painful in the stages as it's a little boring, but a very much essential part of the 8-week challenge. I will go into a lot more detail regarding active recovery when we come to the end of the challenge!
