My Philosophy Concerning Off Season Training! By: Jesse C. Lay
Things to prepare yourself for that goal is to, weigh yourself, take measurements, and take before and after pictures at every angle to see progress of your transformation.
Training: Even though you are training to pick up weight, size, and strength, you have to stay focused on the overall picture. That is to stay fairly lean, no more than 10-15 lbs from your ideal weight. It is unhealthy to pick up 40-80 lbs of unwanted fat when you can just maintain all year round. It is easier to add lean muscle than it is to pick up unwanted fat. This will make you feel like a looser. Then you'll have to worry about taking the unwanted fat off for the spring. Think about it. PS. To beginners, do not get caught up in what your friends are doing. Just focus on your own training, and results will come. Remember, quality not quantity. Never give up on yourself and stay away from drugs! Jesse C. Lay Recommend this article to a friend by e-mail here!
