Why I Got Started

I have always been active, but as I got older I just hated my body. I wanted to feel better and look better. I raised my family; seven beautiful children, yes, seven. I have three grandchildren and another on the way in September. I run my own business, but being active had become boring and my body just didn't respond like it had years ago.

How I Did It

Working out more; split routines, heavier weights, cardio 20 minutes a day. I am so pleased with the improvements that I have accomplished that I decided to get my NGA PT Certification. I started the course this week, May 2010.

I have also hired a personal trainer of my own, Mr. Scott "Old Navy" Hults. You see, I needed extra motivation. (He is on Bodybuilding.com too. Check him out!) A Master Professional Body Builder, he will be training me for a show in Tennessee in November 2011. Yes, I know, I will be 55 when I compete!

If you are not pleased with where you are now - you are in control. I have always been active, but age has a way of making it much harder to stay in shape. Society tells us we should relax and enjoy it. It doesn't have to happen that way, ladies! You can still be active, shapely and yes, even sexy, if you choose to be. Age is just a number NOT an excuse - my line.
