Starting today! Would love some support since it's so lonely out here in Midland, TX! Anyone have any good tips besides doing what Jamie already says? I plan on doing the diet a little my own way since I am a diabetic. So far though I am down almost 20 lbs just by diet in a 2 months so really excited to add this as well.

Anyone know what kind of stretching is recommended before hand?

Congratulations on your 20 lb weight loss so far! That is really exciting. I'm in the same boat. Down 27 lbs but have hit a plateau. I started the program this morning at 5am.. ugg! I'm excited to break through my plateau and get healthy!!

I was wondering about stretching also. I jumped on the bike for about 7 minutes at a moderate speed to get the body warmed up a bit. I'd love to hear recommendations as well!

Good luck!

Beforehand I always do dynamic stretching (bouncing, swinging arms, etc) and/or do a very light set of whatever exercise I am about to do to warm up the limbs. Never do any form of static stretching beforehand - only afterwards.

On day three and I'm feeling great! Although I am unable to do most exercises due to a lower back injury, I am more focusing on the meal plan and looking to shed some weight while I am in physical therapy rehabbing my back. I don't have sweet cravings and feel a spike in my energy levels! I'm excited about doing what I can in the journey over the next 12 weeks!

Has anyone done this plan without going to the gym, and just lifting weights. I am just curious, bc I am not sure if going to the gym is an option for me with my schedule and being a single mom. If not I am sure I can find a way, where there is a will there is a way!

I'm choosing not to do the protein powder for now (breastfeeding, and I'm a little hesitant about using protein powder since I haven't found a definitive answer on it yet), but I am already doing the multi and fish oil. If I don't use protein shakes, what should I do post workout? Thanks in advance!

Seriously look at http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/7-ways-to-cook-eggs.html

All of the recipes there are good; I still eat regular scrambled whites sometimes, but the key to doing eggs every day is variety. The crepes are just about the only way I can make myself eat eggs at night... and I use casein protein, which is good to have late (and using the chocolate flavor makes me feel like I'm having dessert)! I've even made them for friends after a night out.... they were trying to raid my pantry for snacks and were disappointed with all the veggies hahaha! I made them these, threw on a little natural PB and got rave reviews!

Help!!! Wacky Workout Schedule :( I share 50/50 custody of my 4 yr old. I try to work out when I do not have her in efforts to keep sane with scheduling as I also work fulltime and have two fulltime kids at home and spend time with her. It looks like the only way I can do Phase 1 is if one of my off days are in the middle of the week. Will this throw me off track with building muscle? Schedule would be:
AM workout: Wed, Sat
PM workout: Tues and Frid
Off days: Thurs, Sun, Mon
Not sure what to do... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure you've looked ahead, but the program will go something like this:
Weeks 1-2 >> 3 off days, workouts take ~30mins
Weeks 3-4 >> 2 off days, workouts take ~40mins
Weeks 5-12 >> 1 off day, workouts take anywhere from 60-90mins
So basically if you can't make the time now, you may have some bigger issues in the coming weeks.

Hello Fellow BodySpacers!

I have some questions for those of you who are or have completed Jamie Eason's LiveFit trainer. I started the program a few weeks ago, however, I find it very difficult to ear 5-6 small meals a day. I find that when I get to meal 3, I CANNOT physically eat anymore food.

Also, I'm finding it difficult to find the motivation to continue the 5-6 small meals. The gym part is no problem, since I go just about every day.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

So I’m only on week 1 day 5 but I started actually eating clean and working out a week earlier. I wish the scale would show more than a 2 lb loss. I feel that this is legit because I’m sure that I am building muscle. It is hard to accept what the scale says though. One thing to remember is 3 grapefruits is equivalent to 5 lb of fat, and 3 tangerines is equitant to 5 lb of muscles. So hopefully I am shrinking even though the scale is not reflecting a big change.

I may or may not be correct, but I think that you are gaining muscle mass! When I had a personal trainer in 2009, I gained almost 10 lbs before I started losing weight. I went up to 130 lbs, and looked fatter. A couple of weeks later, I started to slim down.

Hang in there, and keep strong, you'll see results!

I've finished my 1st week of Jamie Eason's Live Fit Trainer. It was long, but amazing. I'm on my 3 days of rest, and I'm sore like no tomorrow!

At times, I find that it's hard to stick to the meal plans. I work rotating shifts, so there are times when I eat things that I know I really shouldn't, but it's what is available at the time. And I have a huge sweet tooth! I need help with that! Any ideas for satisfying sweet cravings that have low calories?

I will be starting Week 2 on Monday, March 26, 2012. I hope I can be just as motivated as I was during week 1!

Something that will help with being sore is vitamin C.. And it is also good for the immune system... Potassium is also good for helping sore muscles so eat a banana or some other potassium rich foods... Have your meals pre-made and at hand when on the go, that will help u stay on track. Jamie has many protein bar recipes and they are great for eating clean on the go.. Also, add Jamie on Facebook.. She has a few healthy sweet tooth recipes on there like coconut macaroons and almond cookies... Or one of my favorite treats is protein ice cream... 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, 2 tablespoons of your favorite nonfat

Congrats on completing your first phase! I start on Monday, and I'm super excited!

From what I've listened to and read, Jamie says not to rely so much on weighing yourself. You should try on something that was once very tight, and see how it fits. You can also keep track of your measurements, as that is a more accurate than a scale too. I'm sure you gained quite a bit of muscle and lost a lot of fat, but the two net out to you gaining a few pounds. Keep up the good work! :)

Yes, this program is for BOTH men and women of any age.
No, if you are a girl you will not "bulk" up like a man. Men get big and grow muscle easily because their bodies produce lots of testosterone. Women produce very little of that hormone. We are physically unable to get "mannish" .. U will gain muscle, and lose fat but you can still look

I know to do the first back to back and after the underhand cable pulldown do I like jump rope or run for 60 sec?
And after the 60 sec jog or jumping rope do I start with the
wide-grip lat pulldown?

The wide-grip lat pull-downs and the underhand cable pull-downs are a superset. The "Working Set Active Rest" that you see is for the next set of exercises: the one-arm dumbbell row and the exercise ball pull-in.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you will do one working set of one-arm DB rows followed by an active "rest" period (jogging or jumping rope would be fine). Then, you will perform one set of exercise ball pull-ins, followed immediately by another active rest period. Then start it all over again.

Hi
I am currently wk 7 and I am little concern with the intensity. My day starts very early7 am and i don't get home till midnight. At the end of the wk i am so tired that I have to take a beak in the middle of the wk. That helps me to get through the legs workout. Do you have any suggestions how to split the workout ?

Hi Everyone!

I started this program today, but I seem to have some difficultly navigating thru the website... I have a few questions, when should I have a protein shake? Only after my work outs? Which sometimes are late around 7, and she says not to eat near bedtime? I bought protein shake stuff and flax seed gel capsules. Is there anything else I should be taking? Please help! Thank you!!! Also, does everyone think its a have to to have a scale to weigh my food?

I am on week 7 now and loving it. I couldn't help myself but to throw in some cardio near the end of the first 6 weeks, and now she's got me going hard with Phase 2 and I can't add much! I slimmed down more than I'd realized last year using the "Lean and Sexy Bible" from Jamie Eason, and I'm excited to see the results I get this time around. I love her programs for kickstarting myself when I start to get lame/bored with my workouts!

I’m starting the program Monday and I was hoping some other users could shed some light for me :)

Should a protein shake after a workout count as a meal?

Is there any specific was you’re supposed to eat? As in your meals- protein, starch, veggie?

And should you count calories?

Thanks everyone!

Question about protein shakes. I am using the supplement stack suggested by Jamie, which says to mix 1 scoop of protein powder with 4 oz water/milk. This seems like a really small serving. I just doubled the serving size, but wondered what other people are doing. I don't want to be overdoing it if I should just be drinking a 4 oz serving.

Hi!
Just found this site yesterday, and I'm really interested in starting that 12 week program.
Please give me a tip, how am I able to find right page right away. Now after signing in about three times, I need to go thrue those 3 phases ( female/age/goal) just to find my way to this specific page.
This might be a stupid question, but I really couldn't find any easier way to get this page.
Another question: Is there possibility to put your own personal check ups after doing each step of the program? Meaning that I could do some follow up of things that I've done and achieved. That would be excellent tool for me to see progress afterwards.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Regards.

Hey Y'all
Im in week 7 of the Live Fit, and active duty military. I wont be able to get to the gym all next week due to work, but I do have a treadmill, weights and a bike at home. I am going to substitute an at home workout this week, then resume week 7. Any suggestions? Should I get some HIIT training in, or try to maintain my strength with weights/plyometrics?

I think you should do it! I'm on week 3 and I've lost 10 lbs and gained some muscle. I feel great. :)

I think it's going to take us a little longer than most to get to our goal, but if we follow her plan I know we'll get there!

Good luck! You got this one!!! :)

it's probably because you are gaining muscle. try to look in the mirror more than at the scale because muscle weighs more than fat.

Does your gym have a smith machine? Do your pushups on the smith machine bar and lower it each time you do push-ups until you can do them on the floor. I am a trainer and this is how I have learned to modify push-ups.

Started the program yesterday and just doing the first day, my triceps and chest have never been so sore. And i'm used to lifting. Im assuming because instead of doing full body workouts 3x a week i'm targeting specific muscles and doing more than just one type of exercise per muscle. i'm impressed by my soreness haha which is weird to say. Can't wait to do day 2 tomorrow. However, i don't think ill be able to follow the diet exactly. so hopefully the results will still be impressive.
