HELP!! im starting the Live Fit Program on Monday! i workout at 5:00AM everyday, my question is: should I eat my breakfast meal BEFORE I work out, and then my protein shake for post workout..or..should i just eat my breakfast after I'm done with the gym and skip protein drink all together. I've never really ate an actual breakfast before my workout, so i'm not sure what to do..if i eat breakfast before working out, and then a protein shake 1 1/2 hr later...just seems like a lot of food for a span of 2 hours....wut's the best way to go about this because the program says to eat breakfast within 1 hour of waking. any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

If you read her tips I think she says to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. I hope this helps, if not sorry. But read her stuff for tips. I will be starting just as soon as I get my stacks.

I work out at 5 am as well. Since I wake at 4:30 I drink the protien shake post work out (usually just a little over an hour later. Then I eat breakfast 2/3 hours later..

@rayray0221 Do what the trainer says as close to it as possible! It will feel like a lot of food for sure, but it is meant for muscle building and you don't want to be lifting without any food in your system. The protein is meant to be used to help build lean muscle fast! Your breakfast doesn't need to be huge. If I know I am going to the gym right away in the morning because my schedule is crazy I just eat some ezekiel bread (1 slice) with all natural peanut butter for healthy fat and some protein and some cinnamon on top. Then I will have my shake after, which doesn't need to be more than 8 oz. or sip it over an hour time. Don't need to chug it. :)

OH and usually if I only have some toast in the morning, later in the morning I will have my eggs and turkey muffins (WHICH are amazing so make them they are really easy!) The toast in the morning is just to wake up my metabolism so it's working and not going into starvation mode!

Jamie says to eat an hour after waking. I can't eat before I workout so I always eat after. It just depends on your body. As for me the reason why I eat after is because I get sick if I eat before a workout.

If you can't have a full breakfast, definitely have a little something in your body. Your body needs fuel to burn calories and to keep up with your work-outs! Eat some fruit and toast. I would have a protein drink right after my workout.

Eat something light, even if it's a protein shake and greek yogurt, it will help you workout intensity!!

I would eat something light like a banana, hard boiled egg whites or a quick Greek yogurt... just get something in your stomach (along with water). Definitely drink your protein shake post-workout as your body will need all the ingredients afterwards. You have 60 minutes to really maximize the effects of the protein after you finish your workout, so don't hesitate. =)

Have shake in am before workout along with supplements and then after workout eat your breakfast, that way you have fuel to workout and then protein to fuel your muscles

I would have to agree with rydersmom. If you can't stomach all the food early in the morning, go with a shake with some sort of carbohydrate with it. Possibly blend strawberries and your protein powder with water, then enjoy a nice breakfast post-workout to aid in recovery.

Start little by little, get rid of the junk food first and drink the gallon of water everyday. Find a gym or buy a few weights to work at home. You can do this! Track your progress -pictures help- that way with every inch, every pound you lose, you can vow to never go back to that. Visualize the new you everytime you falter and continue.

Good luck to you!!!! I'm on day 3 of phase 1 today and I'm sore but I feel pretty good about myself. It's hard sometimes to take such good care of your own body, but once you start seeing results you'll really want to continue on :) Girl you can do it!!!

try and do your best to silence the noise in your head... follow the program to the letter and relish in those wonderful feelings you'll have once you start to workout and get your diet methodically organized.

You can do this!!!! I started today and yes, it is a little hard but it is possible, the diet it's good and it will fill you up. Take one day at a time and just say NO to the things that you shouldn't eat ( I had to clean and throw so many things out so that I won't be tented )
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Is there anyone else who thinks week five jumped light years ahead of the first four weeks? I can't do all the things she's prescribing! I just do as close as possible.

Doing what you can and just making sure you push youself to grow is great!! Even if it can't be EXACTLY as listed, that's fine as long as YOU know your intensity is pushing a little more past what you couldn't do yesterday, everyday. Rock on darlin!!
