Yaxeni has seen the top of the podium before and is looking to regain her title once again. I caught up with Yaxeni as she prepares to take the Arnold stage.
[ Isaac Hinds ] How many Arnold Classics have you competed in?
[ Yaxeni Oriquen ] I have competed in every Arnold Classic since 1998. This will be my 10th consecutive year. I won 1st place (overall) in 2002, 2003, and 2005.

[ IH ] Will you reclaim the title this year?
[ YO ] It is my goal to win my 4th Ms. International this year. I have trained very hard for this contest and I believe I will bring a winning package come showtime.
[ IH ] You were said to be off at the Olympia, what did you change for that show?
[ YO ] Obviously I was very disappointed with the results of last year's Olympia. I simply peaked too early and came in retaining too much water. The cuts were not as deep as I would have liked.

[ IH ] What will you do differently for the Arnold this year?
[ YO ] This year I am really trying to focus on coming in at a lighter weight. I think this will help me dry out more. Although the judges seem to be looking for a little less muscle with 20% reduction rule; they seem to want the conditioning to be very tight. I am adjusting the balance of salt, water, and carbs more carefully this year.
[ IH ] Who is your biggest competition?
[ YO ] Of course, Iris Kyle will come well prepared and in incredible shape - as she always does.

[ IH ] Do you work with anyone on your diet/training, if so who?
[ IH ] Will you be working a booth at the Arnold?
[ YO ] I will likely work a booth, although I am not sure which one at this time.
