I love the circuits for cardio Purposes, but I frown Upon the smith machine :| it does not let you develop the strength that you can get doing normal squats, bench presses and deadlifts...

haha what a joke. Nothing wrong with the smith. Just lift heavier to compensate

Yeah, the smith machine seems an odd choice, but nothing stops you from adjusting this part and do it free weight.

This is my second week. It's good to get the big three in your program. it's especially good to get it in circuit style. I am working my way up to 5 sets for everything. day 1 on the 1st week I did two, yet this week I did three. For the big3 (day2) i'm up to four. I try not to rest, so I have to do a clean after the dead-lift to get the weight in squat position. this adds to the exhaustion.

Its is definetly an intense workout took me 19 minutes to complete with 1 minute rest between and keep good form next time ill increase weight.

What % of my max should I use during the bench press?

Im trying to do this too. I was planning on doing alternate weeks. So this circuit training for one week, then big man on campus workout for the next week, circuit next week, etc...

I like doing the big 3 circuit style although I'm going to switch to free weights the smith machine is no good for dead lifts if you want full range of motion
