Best Of The Forums: November 12th, 2006.

This week we have topics about protein digestion, Ecdysten and E-Bol, creatine and glutamine, and much more... See what our forum members have to say about these topics and share your own opinion right here!

Question Of The Week

Protein Intake Limits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the past, people have believed that there is such a thing as too much protein in one sitting. Currently, there are still people who believe that this is true. Is it possible that the human body can only break down a certain amount of protein in one sitting or is this all just a myth? '4beesinmv' was curious about the topic so he asked.

This thread contains opinions as well as concrete facts about protein digestion from members and professionals alike. If you're not sure what the answer to this age-old question is, check out the thread and see for yourself!

Supplements Thread Of The Week

Ecdysten

As you probably already know, there are lots of great, effective products on the supplement market these days. Which ones work better than others? This is a question that has to be answered by the tried and tested method of use.

Only the people that have used the different forms of a given product will be able to tell you which one works better. Then again, any product can work better on one person but worse on another. That being said, this week's featured supplement is ecdysterone.

There are 2 products that are known best right now, Ecdysten and E-Bol (both made by Thermolife). So how do we know which one is better? 'warbird00' is interested in using one for his cut early next year so he's come to the boards in search of help.

This thread has some great advice from people that have used ecdysterone products and here they tell him (and us) which they liked. Check it out if you're looking to try out an ecdysterone product in the future.

Stupid Thread Of The Week

Does Creatine And Glutamine Cancel Out?

If you've ever read any of my past 'Best of the Forums' you'll know that I love to pick on the people who ask RIDICULOUS questions. I usually lay off if I know they're just kidding, but if they're not - look out. Ignorance is my least favorite characteristic in people and combine that with laziness and you have the 'Stupid Thread of the Week.'

This week, 'xxfunguyxx' decides he wants to have a run at the STOTW and does it with style. He wants to know if creatine and glutamine "cancel out." I'm not going to start ridiculing him (well, I guess I already have), but seriously, WTF?! I'll let the board members tear him apart.

Check out the thread here and see what others had to say about this. Oh, and while you're there, tell 'xxfunguyxx' I said 'Hi.'

Nutrition Thread Of The Week

Healthy Breafasts

Many people believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. These people are absolutely correct. I mean, breaking a 9 or 10 hours fast is a big deal for your body! You gotta get a good meal inside of your gut ASAP. What does a good meal comprise of?

Well, protein is important in the morning, no doubt, and how about some carbohydrates? And water is good too, as your body has be de-hydrating since the moment you went to bed. Hell, I'll just give you the link to the thread here and you can see what members have to say about breakfast. Oh, and that smoothie that 'jtrincon' made sounds uber-good.

Funniest Thread Of The Week

Sunglass Gym Idiot...

In the past, I have featured threads that have focused on the funny things that people see at the gym. There are a lot of funny people who do funny things in a funny way and that gets them noticed and talked about on Bodybuilding.com.

This week, 'Dedicatedforlif' rants about something that we had recently seen in his gym - someone wearing sunglasses. I personally totally agree with him when he says that people that wear sunglasses in the gym look completely silly.

A few others in this thread may have a different opinion on the topic, but it's pretty funny nevertheless. Check it out and add your two cents on the topic!

Poll Of The Week

Do You Use S.A.N. Products?

For any of you that have ever used any of S.A.N.'s products, you'll know that it is a solid company with a solid lineup of supplements. For those of you that have yet to try their products, I'm sure you've heard nothing but praise from others about them. This thread was started by 'cakedonkey' because he wants to know which one (or more than one) of their products you have tried and how you enjoyed them (or didn't).

This is a great thread to take a look at if you're interested in their line of products but would like to hear more feedback on any particular one. Thanks for everyone's input - these kinds of threads are very helpful and making selecting supplements easy and enjoyable!
