Background

Currently, I am working towards an Exercise Science degree at WSU, and will also be getting a certificate from the ISSA called Specialist In Performance Nutrition sometime in the future, and also one from ACSM. If you are really interested in Nutrition, and Supplements I suggest you check these sites out.

Sometimes I consider myself a guinea pig for bodybuilding, nutrition, and supplements. I am always looking for ways to make something work better then it already does. Whether it is using creatine or not; eating more carbs, and less protein; or getting more sleep,I am trying it, and doing my own tests, and experiments.

I started lifting when I was 16, but it was really basic stuff. I was really more interested in the nutrition, and supplement aspect of it, than the lifting. I kept my workouts simple, just to get toned. I was never very big at all in junior high, or high school. I was about 4'7" and 110lbs. I had been to a growth doctor, and he said if he didn't start me on (Protropin), which was a growth hormone, I would be under 5' tall. I figured I didn't want to be 5' tall the rest of my life, so at the age of 13, I started on the Growth hormones.

And for all of you out there that are wondering, they were the "REAL" thing. They were injections that went into your skin, and made you grow. The hormones made me grow an 1" every three months. So by the time I was a sophomore in high school, I was about 5'4". After I was done with the shots, I had been stuck at 115lbs from age 17-20. I came to the point where I was tired of being small, and being around 8-10% body fat.

I was ripped, but wanted that BIG look. So just about 2yrs ago, I got serious about bodybuilding, and not just nutrition and supplements. I spent one full year at college learning how to do the exercises, and getting that down before I got into heavier weights. Nothing is more important than technique. And if you don't lift right, then why lift at all? I look forward to writing nutrition, and supplement articles for Bodybuilding.com.Name: David S. (FitforLife)
