 Why I Got Started
Ever since my grandmother died, my world fell apart. She was my rock, and I went through many rough years without her. I think, deep down, this was her way of waking me up and moving me to a brighter future.
It was a lot of hard work, sweat, tears, hardships and realization. I am extremely happy right now in my life and I'm enjoying being in the moment.

 How I Did It
In July 2006, I was in a serious ATV accident. I fractured 6 ribs, had 2 collapsed lungs, broken arm, shoulder and elbow, and a ruptured spleen. The doctors told me I wouldn't have full use of my leg ever again, but I was determined to prove them wrong.
I spent 4 months in the hospital and was released on my 24th birthday. That same year, I set a goal to compete in a local show.

I told my parents that I'd be competing the following year, but I don't think they thought I could do it. No one thought it was possible. That following week, I started doing Billy Blanks cardio videos.
Driving back and forth to the hospital for physiotherapy was difficult as I was still recovering from my knee and arm. I began going to the gym 5 days a week and training my leg at the hospital. That same year, I stepped on stage and competed in the Figure Tall class, and won!
There are so many people I would like to thank - My parents, who never gave up on me through all the rough times, Roxanne Weineiber for getting me on stage, my biggest supporter and love of my life, Mike Pardy, and all my fans who were always there to support me.

No One Thought It Was Possible.
My life is finally coming around. It took me 26 years to get everything that I wanted. Life is a window of opportunity. You have to take whatever life throws at you. So now, whatever comes my way, I take it with a smile!
