Aiming for her second win in what is arguably the world's biggest and best bodybuilding show, The Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic, is bodybuilder-turned figure competitor-turned bodybuilder, Cathy LeFrancois-Priest.

A previous top tier women's bodybuilding star, Cathy, who turned pro at the 1995 Canada Cup, took an extended break from the sport in 2004 to focus on establishing the softer look that is required for the figure division.

Now back in bodybuilding, a sport she says she loves every aspect of, Cathy has shown she means business. She placed second at last weeks Sacramento Pro with a physique reminiscent of the winning look she presented when she won the Arnold back in 2003. Can she win this show again in 2007? Say tuned to find out.

[ Q ] Your last showing at the Arnold was in 2003, where you won the lightweight division. How do you think your physique has improved since this time? What can the fans expect to see at the 2007 Arnold Classic?

As you know I took some time off from bodybuilding and training heavy. Now that I am back my body has responded very well to my training and I would say, I have more mature muscles and more thickness.

[ Q ] How did it feel to get an invite to the 2007 Arnold?

It is always an honor to be invited to one of the top shows in the world. I was very excited to receive the news.

[ Q ] After success at the 2003 Arnold you decided to give figure a shot. Why the move away from bodybuilding?

Several reasons for why I made that decision: some were personal and I also felt I wanted to try something new and give my body a break.

[ Q ] What transitions did you have to make to go from the figure division back to bodybuilding?

My weight-training program changed for one. I didn't train much when doing figure so I could achieve a certain look on stage. Now that I am back to bodybuilding I train consistently at my home gym and I lift heavy. My diet has also changed. I eat very clean and include a high protein component.

[ Q ] You are competing in the Sacramento Pro, which is one week out from the Arnold. Do you think this will help you to peak well for the larger, more important Arnold Classic?

One good thing about doing the Sacramento show a week before Arnold's is it will allow me to manipulate my body and see how I look. Then I can make any adjustments I might need to make for the Arnold classic the following week.

[ Q ] How are you looking right now? Are you on target for a good showing?

I feel I am in excellent condition. I have a few more things to do before the Arnold but I should be right on target.

[ Q ] How would you describe your physique? What are your strengths as a competitor?

I would like to describe myself as muscular, but feminine. This is important to me to make sure I have that balance. I have mature, thick muscles since I have been training for about 18-years now. I feel my physique has good symmetry. I love being on stage, I love posing and doing my routine. I am very competitive and love every aspect of the sport.

[ Q ] Describe the training program you have used to prepare for the 2007 Arnold?

I like to train one body part a day and my program changes depending on how close I am to competition. Currently I am getting up around 3:30am and training, eating and going back to bed. I am doing cardio twice a day, really focusing on my legs and back.

My diet consists of fish (orange roughy) three-times-a-day and broccoli, asparagus, egg whites, oatmeal, yams, rice, steak and chicken.

[ Q ] Have you made any changes to your training and diet since your last show? If so, what have these been and why did you make them?

Yes, I am cycling my carbs so I come in a bit harder for Arnold classic.

[ Q ] How do you expect to place at the Arnold? - Any predictions at this point?

Predictions? Gosh, I don't like to predict these things, as you never know what will happen. All I know is I am going to do all I can to show up and be the best I can be. Placing in the top three would be great, but winning would be incredible. I won in 2003 and I would love nothing more than to win again.

Good luck for the weekend. Is there anyone you would like to thank for helping to get you to this point?

I would like to thank all my fans and friends for their on-going, constant support. My boyfriend Scott for all he has done for me, and my family for never giving up on me. Oh and I would like to thank my friend and training partner, Melody, for always being a friend and helping me to stay on track.
