 Why I Got Started

When I turned 21, I went through the whole "party stage;" I started gaining weight and was completely unhappy with how my body looked. I started dating a personal trainer/bodybuilder who worked out and ate healthy all of the time. I was embarrassed by my eating habits and how I looked. Eventually, I realized the only way I would be happy with myself is if I changed my bad habits. Long story short, I started working out to improve my self-esteem.

 How I Did It

I started doing a total body workout with 4-5 days of cardio put together by my boyfriend. Also, I completely changed my diet from pop and chips to water and healthy foods. After I started dropping weight, I changed to doing 1-2 body parts per day and 3-4 days of cardio.
Once I started seeing improvements and I could feel the difference in how my clothes fit, I was addicted. The hardest part is getting the motivation and self discipline to start. I quit drinking almost all together, believe me, it makes a HUGE difference.

 Suggestions For Others

Don't be afraid of numbers on the scale. That was my hardest thing to overcome. As long as you feel good about yourself that's all that matters. Before, a lot of people would say I was big and now some of those same people say I am too small. You have to do what makes you happy and not worry about others. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle will not only make you look better, but feel better too.
