Matt Brughelli

Background

Matt has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from novice to elite. What sets Matt apart as a strength coach is his unique approach to weighted jumps, Olympic lifts, and program design. He started out volunteering at numerous colleges, private facilities, and institutions to study under some of the most talented and brightest minds in the field. While volunteering at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (Chula Vista, Ca), Matt learned what he calls his greatest lesson, "how to make the workouts fun."

More recently, Matt served for 3 years as the Head Strength Coach at Sacred Heart Cathedral High School. Matt has completed his MS in Exercise Physiology from CSU Hayward in 2004, and his BS in Exercise Science at CSU San Diego in 2001. He is starting a PhD in Biomechanics where he will be joining an elite team of coaches and researchers.

Matt also has experience as a college professor (physiology), and has several published articles. Matt is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) hopes to continue being successful as a teacher, coach, and researcher.
