You work hard at being fit and looking good and then imagine that one day you too can be seen in the pages of a magazine like Iron Man. That and more has been a dream of Wendy Lucas. This 24 year old from Southern California started lifting at 13 and was hooked, just loved it. And with her good looks she just started dreaming about being a fitness model and an inspiration to others.

So along with getting certifications as a personal trainer, training her clients and being a boot camp instructor, Wendy went on the journey of doing photo shoots wherever she could to get noticed. And finally noticed she was when she hit the front page of BodyBuilding.com with her BodySpace profile. Many thousands of people saw her after that!

Much more than a pretty face, Wendy has earned her way in the world with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology, which is the study of ecological problems as being rooted in political and social issues and systems.

Not exactly the light fare of study compared to cranking out cardio and 15 reps per set! She also studied at Oxford England, studied Art History and English, and traveled Spain, Italy and Germany. And all the time kept up her passion about health, fitness and nutrition.

Wendy said to me that being in Iron Man Magazine was a goal she was hoping for. She wants to continue to pursue her career as a fitness model and to stay active on BodySpace talking with other people like her who find health and fitness a way of life.
