    Cris Edmonds (lbdb18) started using BodySpace in September, just over a month ago. He's from Roanoke, Virginia, USA, and has been lifting weights since 2002.

    He started working out when he got into high school, mainly to help improve for football. In the school gym, they really only focused on the bench press, power clean, and squats, so it wasn't really true bodybuilding. After graduation, however, he started reading Flex Magazine, and that's when he really got serious.

    Cris now lifts at Gold's Gym, Roanoke College, and BAC in Roanoke, VA. If you see him and his training partner, Ari, in the gym, don't forget to say "Hi!"

[ BodySpaceAdmin ] Why Do You Like BodySpace?

    Lbdb18: I love Bodyspace because it provides a place where I can meet other fellow bodybuilders. Also, it's a great way to share workouts and supplement advice with people.

[ BSA ] Your BodySpace profile mentions that you get motivated by watching Ronnie Coleman. Why is that?

    Lbdb18: Ronnie Coleman is 8-Time Mr. O and if you have ever seen any of his videos ("Cost of Redemention" or "Unbelievable") - he's a freak!

[ BSA ] Tell us about your gyms - any funny stories or anything you particularly like about them?

    Lbdb18: Well, Gold's Gym in Roanoke, Virginia is my favorite because it's got the latest equipment, and a ton of huge guys train there. But a funny story is that my home gym just got a bomb threat last night...

[ BSA ] Really? Did it actually blow up, or was it just a fake threat?

    Lbdb18: Well, my brother went in to work out, and next thing you know, he was on the leg press machine and a policeman says to him, "Umm, sir, there has just been a bomb threat - you need to leave." But it turned out to be fake.

[ BSA ] What's the story behind your forum signature, "Lock It Up!"?

    Lbdb18: Have you ever seen the film, " Wedding Crashers"? They say it on there. My buddies and I always say it.

[ BSA ] Your short-term goal is to gain 10 lbs. of lean muscle before May. Why May - what's going to happen then?

    Lbdb18: Actually, I just set a random date, so that I had something to work toward.

[ BSA ] Why do you like the article "Adding Mass In The Off-Season" by Clayton South? What do you find so special about it?

    Lbdb18: It's very well-written, and has a great meal plan for gaining quality muscle mass. It even gives you an equation for how many grams of protein you should consume in a day.

[ BSA ] Clayton will be glad to hear that, I'm sure! Who is stronger, you or your workout partner, Arziogas?

    Lbdb18: On most all lifts, I'm stronger - but he can usually get a few more reps on deadlifts than me. He's only 150 lbs., so I've got about 30 pounds on him, but he can usually hang on most exercises except legs. I actually made him puke a few workouts ago doing squats, though!

[ BSA ] How did you first hear about and/or The Fit Show?

    Lbdb18: I think I saw an advertisment in Flex, or I might have found it through Google - I can't remember exactly, but I definitely found The Fit Show through the main page of

[ BSA ] What keeps you motivated to continually update your BodySpace profile?

    Lbdb18: Well, I have been trying to use it similar to a journal or training notebook, in that it tracks the progress (or lack thereof) that I've been making, and I enjoy posting and keeping in touch with the big dudes that I have met.

[ BSA ] What does "Lbdb18" stand for?

    Lbdb18: It stands for Lord Botetourt (where I went to high school), Defensive Back (the position I played on the football team), and my number.

[ BSA ] Any final comments or anything else you want to tell people?

    Lbdb18: Bodyspace is far superior to any social networking site - better than MySpace or FaceBook. And thanks for picking me, it's greatly appreciated!
