January 2010: Inspired916

Inspired916 was always the small guy. People always commented on how skinny he was. He decided to take advantage of being naturally lean, and began lifting weights to reach a healthy weight and stay there. Now it his addiction. Perfection is his goal, and everyday is seen as an improvement.

[ Q ] What is your real name?

My full name is Stevemark Caballero Jr. No spaces, hyphens or dashes in my first name.

[ Q ] What do you do for a living?

I currently work at Gold's Gym at the front desk as a Sales rep.

[ Q ] How did you find out about BodySpace?

The first time I saw an ad for BodySpace was in a Muscle & Fitness magazine. I thought it was pretty cool having a big community that could support one another and keep each other motivated.

[ Q ] How do you get motivated to do a workout when you are having a hard day?

To be honest going to the gym and knowing that I'll be able to throw some weight around gets me a little excited, so when I am having a rough day I know I will be able to release a lot of that energy through an intense workout.

[ Q ] Just in case any of the BodySpace ladies are wondering... are you single?

    Haha... yes, I am single.

[ Q ] What is your favorite supplement?

[ Q ] Did you make any mistakes when you first started working out?

I tried to go by the book as much as possible when I first started. My workout routines seemed to work but I think I could of dialed in more on nutrition as far as macro-nutrients go and not overtrain as much. Since then I have learned quite a bit and my gains have gotten stronger and more consistent.

[ Q ] What are some things you like to do when you are not working out?

I'm a nerd at heart; I like to search for the new high-tech equipment that keeps coming out (New phones, computer components, the infamous big screens), etc. I could go a little deeper into micro-processors and GPUs, CPUs, Clock speeds... but I won't go there.

[ Q ] Do you workout alone or do you find it helpful to have a partner?

I tend to workout alone, it allows me to concentrate a little more. On heavy days I try to find a workout buddy... if I can't I usually ask someone to spot and people at my gym are more than willing to help.

[ Q ] Is it hard to stick to eating for your goals when you are around friends and family who are not so involved in fitness?

Well, the thing is... I remember how I used to feel eating a bunch of pizza and drinking a 32oz soda late at night... (not good) to say the least... my energy levels were at a minimum.

As soon as I started my journey into bodybuilding and nutrition, I did a complete 180. So, when I see my family or friends stopping at the golden arches, I flash back to those binging days and I actually get a sick feeling in my stomach. So I know that the benefits of staying clean and consistent outweigh the temporary satisfaction of a greasy burger.

[ Q ] What advice would you give somebody who asks you how to get a six pack?

The typical advice I usually tell someone looking for a six pack is a good diet & workout regimen. But I find myself always explaining that consistency is such a big part that goes with those key parts.

[ Q ] Do you play any sports? What professional sports/teams do you follow?

As of right now, no... no sports, but I did play baseball for about 10 years and was always active on the basketball courts growing up. I love watching professional football and basketball here and there. As far as teams go... I have always been a San Francisco fan, Forty Niners and Giant's baby!

[ Q ] If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Hmmm... Anywhere? Well, I have a thing about Rome and would love to visit the Colosseum... Something about their old civilization that intrigues me.

[ Q ] What is your favorite TV show?

To be honest I don't watch a lot of TV these days, but if I had to choose I would have to say... House.

[ Q ] What is your favorite video game?

Well this is an easy one. I'm a big fan of multiplayer online games, so I would have to go with Counter-Strike: Source, for the PC.

[ Q ] What are you future fitness goals?

I could write a whole page on this, but I will go as far to say I am only in the beginning of my goals for fitness; I want to be a respectable role-model for people all around, proving with a little hard work and determination you can go a long ways.

I see future natural bodybuilding shows for myself, giving back to the awesome BodySpace community, an opportunity to be in Muscle & Fitness, and... possibly getting a chance to meet ChickenTuna?
