FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Boise, ID - September 1, 2011 - Bodybuilding.com, the Internet's most-visited bodybuilding and fitness site and largest online retailer of nutritional supplements, is once again offering a free worldwide webcast of Joe Weider's 2011 Olympia Weekend presented by MuscleTech. With one of the best lineups of athletes in the contest's 46 year history and one million dollars in prize money, the 2011 Olympia is a must-see event. Thanks to the live webcast, everyone can tune in!
The exclusive webcast coverage will begin at 6:20pm Pacific Time (9:20 ET) on both Friday and Saturday night live from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. On Friday, September 16th the webcast kicks off with video footage of a top contender's contest prep, followed by insightful pre-show discussion from top industry commentators Dan Solomon & King Kamali.
Next up is the beautiful ladies, featuring the Ms. Olympia, Fitness Olympia, and Bikini Olympia, followed by the Men's Open Prejudging. Plus, the top three 2011 Bodybuilding.com Supplement Award winners (Brand of the Year, Supplement of the Year and New Supplement of the Year) will be announced. The Bodybuilding.com Supplement Awards have set the standard for recognition of the best products and brands in the fitness and supplement industry for the past seven years.
On Saturday, September 17th the webcast coverage will include the Super Bowl of bodybuilding with the Mr. Olympia Finals, as reigning champion Jay Cutler battles to reclaim his 5th consecutive Mr. Olympia title with his muscle-packed 274 lb, 5'9" frame. Basketball player turned bodybuilder, Phil Heath, is slated to be his biggest challenger with a perfectly balanced 245 lbs, 5'9" physique. The irony? Cutler has been Heath's longtime mentor helping him establish his niche in the bodybuilding world. Now with such a strong foothold, Heath could possibly take his Mr. Olympia title.
The Saturday coverage will also include the beautifully sculpted women of the Figure Olympia and the Men's Under 202 Showdown (men's bodybuilding light weight division).
This year's Olympia webcast hosts are veteran bodybuilding commentator Dan Solomon and with the highly opinionated IFBB Pro Bodybuilder King Kamali, with guest appearances by Larry Pepe and Chad Nicholls. Covering the women's action are co-hosts Carla Sanchez (Professional IFBB Fitness Competitor) and Amanda Latona (Professional IFBB Bikini Competitor and Cover Model).
